Jeses what?

Torres and the like are far more invincable this time round IMO.

I'm not questioning your 'fairness', and frankly don't care about FIFA.

Fouls and Penalties aren't the enitre make up of the game. And I haven't stated that either, so I guess that's your mistake. Its just a bit of a cop out to say something along the lines of, "Oh it doesn't matter that they are rubbish because its only a small part of the game."

So many gameplay elements have major flaws in this version.

its a real shame.

You brought up the thing about penalties or fouls and I simple stated that those alone don't make the full game. I never said that you said that they're the whole game either.
Oh and also it is an issue I want fixed. But there are other things I want fixed first.
But overall it's a good experience. You may not agree. That's fine.

^Just because you or some other don't like , that doesn't make it a bad game...

Normally I'd agree with you, but this IS a bad game. Been playing PES for years, and other gaming series for that matter, and always been open minded to changes and adapted and all that bollocks, but with PES2010 I think this is the first time I've been truly disappointed with a game.

See http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=75424 also. (Thought it deserved another thread because even though I'm still 2010 bashing, it's a different topic)

I guess almost no one will agree that pes 2009 was better than pes 2010 because pes 09 was way too arcadey compared to 10. But anyway it's your opinion.

PES 2010 is okay, but I still get my kicks out of PES 2009. Why? For the simple reason that I enjoy tinkering around with it...For one, updating clubs and players is a breeze. There are so many great tools and cool patches. Of course it'd would be interesting to see how PES 2010 fares with forthcoming patches and updates. It's early days yet.

my openion is that this is the best PES game to date. I really enjoy, it has some issues, but the enjoymnet part is way up. I play with friends none stop until sun rise. Awesome game and still generates the same eww and ahh that Fifa can never get.

Have you played all the pes games?

What are the good things about this game compared to other PES games?

shaun7;1565862As for fouls or penalties. Do you think that those 2 alone make up a football game? That's just a big mistake. NO they don't. :/QUOTE said:
Odd statement that one, penalties are an important part of football otherwise the game would descend into anarchy in the penalty boxes. Konami obvously tested this (hopefully) and still released it knowing it was impossible to get a penalty. Says a lot about them and the pride they take in their work doesnt it.

Online now players abuse the no penalty rule, who can blame them.

The passing is broken.
Through pass is broken
The crossing is broken.
The corner kicks are broken.
The penalty system is broken.
The negotiation system is broken.
Response/delay of players.
Clumpsiness, doesnt matter if it's Rooney/Messi or a player from Burnley.
Smooth Online is something to Hope for.
Too many well-known stadiums are missing.
The Cup/League celebrations are worst then the ones in 2009.

sorry duplicated the message

P.S. Did you noticed-all the above mentioned things has something to do with gameplay. Gameplay is what Konami has pride themselves all these years and now the last character is dead.....All that is left for them is graphics and that is a matter of opinion(whether it is good)

My fascination over the excellent graphics are over! (I should have expected it anyway)

One has to wonder, what was the money you paid for? And what was the hype over the two hundred staff members again?

But tell this to some guys on this board and they will ask you whether you are on drugs. As far as I am concern only someone who is high or on drugs, while playing will not notice how broken the gameplay of PES 2010 is.

LMAO so u want the game to play for you, practice make perfect m8, and about the penalties/free kicks i have had them so no complaints there, last few years we have all complained about the refs giving every little foul, this year now yall complaining about them NOT giving ya the free kicks and penalties Geezzz come on, konimi can't win with ya. tho's that said its a rubbish game i disagree i have played every Pro Evo game to date (yes even the ISS pro games) and they have ALL got better (apart from pes 08 which was a rushed game for a next gen console), i love this version, great graphics, good game play, can score some fantastic goals, but i say this to ya all, can anyone out there make a better game? if so GO DO IT, these guys work there arses off for us and all you do is complain, so my hat goes off to all the workers on this fine game, we can all talk about making a great game, but none of us can ACTUALLY make one can we?, the only thing i would like to see them do is get the Premier League Teams Licensced, but i know thats hard to do when FIFA has all the rights to that, but other than that this is a great game, ok i have said enough now.....

I never said that I like that factor. Because it is really annoying to have almost no penalties but that's not a big deal because there are other important basic things like those I mentioned.

I dont want to be a games developer mate, but in my job people have the right to criticise me, why should Konami be exempt from criticism?

Were not complaining about free kicks etc outside the box - its the blatant penalties that are ignored constantly. What a howler. It doesnt help people like you saying how great the game is, I happen to think the gameplay is much better now but is there a company that test the patience of their fanbase more than our friends in Japan, and for that matter completely mislead them when a release date is approaching?

I'm amazed that these threads never dies :)
It's okay that konami has lost someone during the years. They cant keep satisfying everyone. And i must say, that this year i'm a bit disappointed as well.

Especially regarding the refs.
The thing is that we actually get the decent amount of free kicks during a game, but we get them in "wrong" situations. Sliding tackles from behind are allowed, but running next to an opponent is prohibited, for some reason..

What a load of nonsense, if you can't see why people are complaining about PES then you need to take the PES tinted specs off.

I'm sure he means 'broken' as 'painfully rubbish', if he does I wholeheartedly agree with him.

And don't be telling people to not debate the ins and outs of the game just because you don't agree, its a tad childish.

I'm interested to hear what you think were flaws in PES 6?
And what you think about the flaws in this version which have already been brought up?

People complain about every game, go on any game message board and you'll see people complaining much like here for PES2010. I don't have PES tinted specs, I want a good, fun game and thats what PES2010 is. Whats "painfully rubbish" about the game ? I don't see anything, amazingly wrong with it for you to totally trash it the way you're doing. You could debate all you want but you don't seem to like to discuss the matters being debated, its basically "rubbish" and thats the end of it.
As for PEs6, it was a great game, is this incarnation as good? Maybe not but its not horribly bad, its good and I feel its the closest to PES6 of any of the 3 next gen titles. It feels like an older PES from back in the PS2 days, honestly thats my opinion, and if you don't agree with it fine, its your right. Pes 6 had its flaws too don't forget, starting with the online which was totally broken (Im talking about the PS2 version, I don't know how the 360 one was). In anycase, the online was a disaster, you would have no lag 1half and go up 3-0 then the 2nd half would be unplayable and the other player would come back and tie it because he had the reverse lag situation. This years is much more playable, at least on the US servers, I've played countless games and experienced very little to no lag about 95% of the time. I do get the occasional button lag but its very very seldon. Also in PE6, you could run down the side with a fast winger, up the sideline and center it back for a cutback goal, it was notorious for this, as have all the PEs/WE games I've played through the years. So that issue is not a new PES2010 problem, its always been there.

Like I said, I enjoy PES2010 and play mostly online I thought 09 was pretty good (but horrible online) and 08 was totally unplayable for me. MY favorite incarnation of the game was and still is Winning Eleven 10 which was the counterprt of PES5 or 6 I believe. This version may not be the best but its certainly not as horrible as you and some others make it sound. Its a solid game and if you don't enjoy it there is always FIFA or you could go back to the PES6 version. The important thing is that you and your buddies enjoy the game, whichever one you choose.

^ PES6 Online was the best yet for me (then PS2 now PES10 PS3) but not really my issue with my PES, it looks like you have been playing several years DIECI so you will understand (I hope), PES 6 was good but with floors as you have mentioned, however we are now 3 and bit years on, and the current game, although is good also, isn't where it should be, the whole process of tearing down and restarting from scratch means that they don't get much further than the year before, there is not enough time to do it, plus the other side to that is you don't even get what you had before! (how many features have been introduced and dropped year on year) The KONAMI questionaire may indicate a change for next year and they start from the current position and refine and make it better, but we will see, they have to if they are to have any chance in regenerating their fanbase.

I agree with you on these points, as for PES6, I really enjoyed it offline, as I did WE10... If Im not mistaken WE10 is the Japanese version of PES6 or was it 5? Because WE10 to me is still the best of the series, even better than PES6. As for online, on the PS2 PES6 was the 1st in the series that I played online and it was not good at all. I had that system that you host one half and then your opponent hosts the 2nd half and it make it for 2 completely different experiences from one half to the other. This years PES2010 is much better than any other PES game online to date. Its very playable 90% of the time. I do get the button lag but maybe 1 in 20 games or so. Im talking USA version maybe the Euro is not as good online from all the complaints I've read on here.

Ok here's what I think. ISS 64 and 98 on Nintendo 64 had better gameplay than FIFA 2010. That's what I think. The bottom line is, EA don't know how to create a true football simulation like KONAMI does. FIFA 10 and PES 10 are completely two differet games. I hope nobody gets offended, but PES is more for mature folks who know a lot about football and how the game is played. FIFA on the other hand is for people who enjoy flashy graphics, bazzilion unknown teams that they will never even use but they claim FIFA has every major league. I wonder how many times will you use any of these unheard of teams ?!?!

Getting back to FIFA 10. Its a good game and EA are doing a good job so far but I'm afraid to say this, they will never come close to the beautiful game PES&WE offer, NEVER. They had many opportunities and they never delivered.

FIFA 10 does offer total freedom of the pitch, total ball control, 360 deg movement, lots of leagues, official kits, uniforms, teams, chants etc.... and THIS IS WHERE PEOPLE GET LOST...and this is where it ENDS for EA. REAL, SKILLED PLAYERS care about gameplay and let me tell you something: PES10 destroys FIFA 10 when it comes to gameplay.

I have FIFA 10 and I'm selling it for $30 bucks if anyone wants it. Shipping included. I played a few matches online last night and THE GAME HAS NO EXCITEMENT TO IT...POINT BLANK... I don't get a fast heartbeat when I'm defending like I do in PES 10. Scoring goals makes you believe YOU ARE GOOD AT SOMETHING. FIFA 10 is a scripted game and passing/shooting still cannot compare to PES 10, even the damn ball physics.

Someone complained about pitch size in PES 10 ??? HAVE YOU PLAYED FIFA 10 ??? Because FIFA 10 has the smallest pitch ever LOL. Taking a corner kick feels like your next to the goal....

I'll be on tonight, around 8-9, so yea lets fire up some games. I got a few beers to kill

And trust me, don't bother with FIFA 10. If anything, rent it and see it for yourself. But you seem to be just like me with similar taste and you do know what you're talking about.
