Latest patch 1.07 is out. Thoughts?

I personally liking the patch. In terms of gameplay this is how PES2014 should be made in the first place.
  1. No more lags in penalty box,
  2. Annoying lob shots are harder to pull off, although it's still possible
  3. Long range shots are easier to execute
  4. Menu is responsive
Anyone care to add?

I did notice some improvements in the gameplay too, but the patch I received when I booted the game was 1.03. Shouldn't it be 1.07 ?

I think the game play is much easier to control. But some other thing still no improvement is sensitivity of players getting the ball especially when rebound.

Rebound? You mean the ball bounces when receiving a pass? Try pressing R2 at the moment of impact to control the ball smoothly

No. Its when player got tackle or GK saves a shoot. The ball in nobody possession. The closest player a little bit late to get or sometimes ignore the free ball. The sensitivity of player i think should have improvement.

Oyea it's a common situation since 2013 or before. I think it's a part of the game, but I can live with that :D

It has been either dpad or analogue to pick a direction of a shot ever since forever. While now in defending it is possible to use body charge by using R3 stick.

Or do you expect the use of steering wheel now?

For me it says 1.06, but also in the description it says 1.06 :eek:hmy:

But now it is like PES 2013... you can have the player on the opposite direction and yet send the pass to the other. Very fast, etc.

More control, but looks unrealistic.

There are unbelievable lob thru passes which many high ranked players spam and boy how I really hate it when it connects. I mean, Xavi was facing his own goal and suddenly sends a hail Mary to Sanchez on the final third of my pitch. Freakin annoying... The same pattern all over..

Even so, given a few bad apples as above, I enjoy this latest patch. Better smoother gameplay. I can't wait to play 2015 in PS4.

Things seem to have gotten worse for me after installing patch 1.07.

While the patch appears to have fixed the lag around the penalty area, I'm experiencing frequent screen tearing issues, especially in crowded penalty box situations. I thought I had escaped screen tearing for good since migrating from PC to PS3 but annoyingly, it has come back.

I've tried all the suggested tips I've come across online to minimize stutter/lag, e.g. running on 720p, installing on PS3 hard drive, turning off auto-feint, changing game speed, but to no avail.

I don't remember it being so bad before patch 1.07. Does anyone else experience this? Any suggested solutions to remedy this?

P.S. I'm running WE2014 (BLAS) but it should be no different from PES2014.

I've installed WE2014 in my HD as well, but never experienced any screen tearing. Online or offline both running smoothly.

Perhaps you can try a different HDMI cable instead?

Many thanks.

Tried a change of HDMI cable - I'm afraid there's no difference.

Just found out that the screen tearing appears confined to the Live Broadcast camera setting. When I use other camera settings, e.g. Pitch Side, Wide etc., I don't experience any screen tearing. The game play is as smooth as I remember before the patch. I suspect the new patch somehow affected the Live Broadcast camera and it is now broken.

A pity as I like the dynamic nature of the Live Broadcast camera. Hope Konami fixes it with a new patch.

You migrated from PC to PS3 for a better performance ? wow.
I wonder what PC specifications you migrated from !
To run PES2014 you need a PC from 2009 onward

I didn't mean better performance - just a lot less hassle in getting the basic things right.

The last PC version I played was PES6. Now that was a great game with lots of support from the community - option files, kit server, stadium server etc. That required a fair decent PC to get things going smoothly - I had to upgrade my graphics card in order to get decent frame rates.

I just didn't have the time to put all these things together anymore so I migrated to PS3 to make things easier. I could live with the trade off of getting less stadiums, less detailed graphics etc, but I would have thought PS3 would get basic things like decent frame rates and no screen tearing sorted out.
