League Roster Mode (option within ML)

Basically, league rosters in ML that update on the fly.

Example: When playing ML with Man U (with this new mode selected), the com tells you at the next trade window that your ownership has decided that it is in the best interest of the club to trade C Ronny to Madrid. You also receive Michael Owen, lose Tevez, etc. To make this simpler for Konami to implement, it could just be a list at the trade deadline of ins/outs for your club without any written (BS) explanations given. You might also call this deal with it mode because it adds to the challenge. That's not all there is to it though, because the major advantage is what it provides for people who are major fans of a particular team (who isn't), but it also opens up the game to different ways of playing, for example, imagine you were using Madrid or Man City this year and how much you would be looking forward to all your new players.

Of course, you should also have the option to accept or reject these changes if you want. This would add tons of longevity and realism to the ML mode by making the transfers mirror the roster updates as closely as possible. You would really see the benefit of this when playing against CPU teams five years into your ML, and they are all properly updated teams (with a few exceptions) as opposed to some really weird trades that you can do nothing but laugh at. Personally, I don't think Konami, or any game company will ever be able to properly simulate a proper player market trading system, because some of the trades that happen in real life aren't even believeable! They only become believable once they actually happen, but if the same trade happened in due to the CPU in PES we would all think it was bullocks. This would also be great for introducing new players into ML without having to start a whole new campaign. For example, players who weren't in the game until the latest roster update.

In order to make this happen, some difficult things need to be achieved by Konami. When Owen leaves Newcastle, for example, he may need to be replaced by a youth player if Newcastle’s roster is too low. Also, it may be that you play your ML using Barca, and you have C Ronny in your squad… So, when it comes the time for him to move to Real, that transfer would come to you, not Man U. In other words, you are able to add players to your squad, or release them, but the rest of the football world will be as close as possible to the most recent roster updates, most of the exceptions being due to what changes you have caused in the fantasy league.

This would be somewhat difficult to pull off, but I think it would be worth it since it would give us a new way to play ML.

Ownership interference, eh?

I like it.

It adds to the gameplay of Football Manager and I think it could be fitting in PES too. Especially as a smaller team, being offered large sums of money for your star player - or for instance if your club is in NEED of cash right away (Hey, Arsenal and Roma was dealing with financial issues this year, why couldn't your PES version of Man Utd do it?)

To clarify, I don't just mean ownership interference, I mean that the league will update as per the real life updates.

This would also be cool in BAL. One of the sad things about BAL is that many of us want to play for our favourite clubs (Gunners for me), but by the time we are old enough in BAL, the team might be a mess. I no longer want to play for them in BAL, because they have become a team built around Alan Smith, Anderson, and Ashley Young. Totally unrealistic IMO. Plus, they have Adebayor and Toure. What I'm suggesting is that the team would be updated each transfer period, so that no matter how old your player is, they will get to play with a team that is what they currently are roster wise. This introduces a problem in terms of player ages, but this could be handled one of a few ways, including basically just letting time sort of stand still for your legend.

I like this idea. When I'm playing ML and I'm on the 3rd or further season, the ML rosters feel stale by then. This could definitively improve the feel of realism to the ML.

One way, I can think of, Konami could implement it could be like this:

1) If the transfers in question do not involve your team, they just happen automatically.

2) If one of those transfers involves your team, then they could be displayed to you in the way of the player in question presenting a transfer request sheet to you (the manager). Which you can either approve or reject.

(PS: The exact same thing happened to me; by the time I got to Arsenal [go gunners!] nobody was left there, and I got there pretty fast, in like 2 seasons!)
