when exactly did i say that it was konami's fault you fool,its far from konami's fault as they do the best they possibly can in gettig the spanish,dutch and italan leagues licenced.

at least they're picking up more and more licenses, helps give pro the more official and professional look to it! all they really need now is full english, french and german licenses and they'll be sorted, though any more would be hugely appreciated!

same ere mate, my WE9 cant be played just now as my Playstation 2's broke and I cant be arsed getting it fixed just now. I'm just sticking to Fight Night 2 for XBOX and San Andreas, Fight Night's too easy though.

HI, a bit off topic but still regarding licences and how they're used.

I was looking at previews of FIFA 06 yetserday, and I noticed that even with 'all' licenses FIFA actually don't do a great job on kits and such.

Sure the kits look great from afar, and are replicated accurately but a lot of detail is missing when compared against WE/PES 'licensed' kits.

Things like kit logo (nike tick) are not there. Boots are also quite generic IMO. THe ball used in FIFA is also quite generic. (an EA one). IMO this is actulally better than having 3 F50 balls as in WE9.

Can anyone cofirm this.

Anyway, I haven't palyed FIFA for ages, its just my observations after looking at a few preview screens. I heard that this years iteration has some good improvements.

Im sure FC Copenhagen are sponsered by Carlsberg??...I was out there for the Champions League Qualifier against Rangers a few seaons ago and they were. Everywhere you looked at the Parken stadium there was Carlsberg Adverts etc......Are they not still sponsered by them??.....

However, I do remember in PES4 that not all licensed teams had their shirt sponsers...Why was that???

Indeed, FCK are still sponsored by Carlsberg. The reason why the logo is missing from the shirts is probably:

1) Early build of the FCK kit, and hasnt been made yet
2) Konami doesn't accept alcoholic sponsors on kits.
3) Carlsberg doesnt allow their logo to be reproduced by Konami.

Cheers for shedding some light on that but it aint number 2 because Rangers and from reports Celtic who are both licensed are sponsered by Carling which is a Brittish Lager.....


I noticed you were from Denmark??....I had a great time out there :) though it is quite dear :(

Copenhagen fans were a great laugh.... :D

That's true, but they always play good in champions league. They beat Olympiakos 3-1 away in this years first round

I think that the reason why the Carlsberg logo aint on the kits, is that it is a early kit.. Btw. The kit they are showing is lasts years kits..
