Will the xbox link cable work as the ethernet cross over to get me online with my xbox? hlp if not wherecan i get the ethernet crossover cable with both female endings

You mean a Cat 5 cable? PC World sell them.
Or if you have a broadband modem that plugs into the network card on your PC, just plug the modem straight into the xbox.
