SAO PAULO!!!

Believe me!!!
...they have a crap overall team rating...their first team line-up stats is no more than slightly above average....

BUT THIS TEAM ARE FUCKING ACE!!!

Just got whipped 2 games online on the bounce by some little nerd playing with them.....

At first when I seen him pick Sao Paulo, I decided to go a "lesser" team also....I soon realised I had been tricked when the Two Sao Paulo forwards kept getting 1-1 breaks through on goal as a result of a simple pass forward....I was quite pissed with the experience so next game I chose AC Milan and this nerd again chose Sao Paulo. I thought this time I would walk all over him......but no...exact same thing again...his two forwards were gifted with unexplicable 1-1 breaks time after time!! He scored this way very quickly, so I decided to man mark his two forwards......to not much avail though as they simply kept getting breaks......he got his final goal of the game when Japp stam headed the ball backwards into his own net in what was one of the freakiest own goals I have ever seen on PES!

Sao Paulo my children!!!!

Not only do they link together and attack like heroes, but the AI of the game favours them as well!

Just to test this out, I picked Sao Paulo to play agaisnt the CPU on 6 stars. Yup, same thing again! although I only won 1-0 I got a huge amount of fast breaks and I only had to tap the shoot button to get cracking shots out of my forwards!!!!

Test ride them for yourself! (use default set-up)

I am wondering if something is mentioned about them in the player guide that is for sale? Anyone know?

Not played Sao Paulo yet. But it does sound like a classic konami input to a game. Maybe the stats aren't as lively as they appear on screen?
I know from first hand experience playing the pes series you can look at a players stats and think.. "Man this guy is awesome" only for him to be ineffective in matches and ml play. Whereas someone with good allround stats will be a better pick.
Some teams thrive on everyone being positionally better allround than individuals being good in certain areas. Sao Paulo probably have the new up and coming Bebeto and Romario combination that worked so well for Brazil in the 90's.. not saying them two players are average but you have to admit the goals they chalked up on the world stage were far from avergae and thats down to positional sense and how well two forwards work together. My mate is PSG in my world league and found that Maradona and Van Basten didnt really gel together as a front two. He's replaced Van Basten with Paolo Rossi and now his team cannot stop scoring. Most of his goals do now come from Rossi.

i came accross this by accident but you are so right they are awsome you can produce killer shots from all angles.....this has got to be a konami cheat of some sort!

I don't think they're that good? I played against Dinamo Kiev at 6* and lost in extra time.. It's right that Amoroso and the other guy always runs into the right position but they don't get the ball through that often.. Is there something special you have to do?

Go to Others B and if you don't have the option file, their name is: Caopolo or something like that.. Theyre good but not fantastic IMO

Sao Paolo is actually pretty darn good, yesterday i played them as my first ML match on 6* and the score was 0-0, and now im playing my Second ML game VS atletico madrid and 13 mins has gone and the score is 3-0 to me!

i did play sao paolo in a friendly (i did random and i was bayer leverkusen) i cudnt believe it 3-2 on 3* to sao. It was my worst defeat to a 3* team who i usually beat. I did it again but i was Liverpool and lost 3-1:eek:hmy:

I´ve just played vs sao paulo on 6* with liverpool and won 4-1 after 4 cracking goals from Morientes (3) and Cissé, but it was a quite tough game and all goals were scored in the first half. My defensive play was good, however their attackers and midfielders seem to position themselves very good and if you relax for just a second they will punish you.

Aye...but I aint talking abnout playing against them in a one player match. I got my arse well and truly felt in 2 player online match. 1st game when i saw my opponent pick them, I thought....aw, some kid wants to go a fancy team, so I chose some duff Eredivisie outfit with similar stats and got horsed over the park....pretty pissed at this I chose to play AC milan against them next. Yes, that is right. AC MILAN with STAM, MALDINI and NESTA in defence, but no matter, this guy and his two "wunder-strikers" just kept getting thorugh my backline effortlessly and it seemed like he could should from anywhere and it would either end up in the back of the net or at least seriously trouble my keeper.

I played my mate with them today. He was Brazil and he is also pretty damn good at PES. Although the result ended 1-0 to him I was on top of the game for large spells but just could not convert any of my chances into to goals. However, may I remind you that he was playing with BRAZIL, alledgedly the best team in the game by a mile.......However, It was quite apparent that Sao Paulo were more than capable of matching and beating Brazil. Lets face it, That is something that simply cannot be said about any more than 9-10 teams in the whole game.

DAMN STRAIGHT BITCHES!!!! man, this is my favourite thread... I'm a Sao Paulo fan with an SPFC tattoo and all..... how right u guys praising my team... they have cicinho, junior, amoroso, grafite, christian is in there too... although I had to create him, alongside some unknown in europe players like, Josue, souza, and mineiro... lugano is huge in the back alongside fabao. and most of all... the keeper with most goal from freekick (not spot kick thats chilavert) ROGERIO CENI, what a team, and at the begining of the year, they had luizao. ( they had him on in W11 9).. BIG UP YOURSELVES AND BIG UP THE GLORIOUS TRICOLOR PAULISTA.... SPFC will beat liverpool this year in japan in the world club finals.. MARK MY WORDS!!!!

I played as Sao Paulo in two matches - one against England and one against Brazil - coming at it from a different point of view. I wasn't interested in scoring, I just wanted to see what happened and....

The computer does NOT go into challenges with Sao Paulo players like it does when you play as someone else. I was trailing England 1-0 (paying for not taking my chances because I wasn't trying to score) and in the final minute, England were passing the ball around in their own six yard box, oblivious to me closing them down. I tackled Ferdinand and then purposely gave the ball away - and they kept passing it around at the back refusing to go forward, but also refusing to shield it particularly well either (this on 5*) so I managed to get the ball again and have a wild shot. The four-minutes of injury-time allowed actually took a long time to complete, almost as though the computer didn't want me to lose.

Against Brazil, and this time trying to score, I lost 2-0 :( but again I was winning balls I had no right to win and the computer played a number of ridiculous balls right across the Brazil goal without being under any pressure to do so and most certainly getting into a whole heap of trouble as a result.

After those two games, I actually felt like I'd been a part of something really wrong in the game. It didn't feel right at all, but it is certainly there. Yes, I might've only played two matches, but the computer was controlling the ball so loosely its shocking how much possession I ended up with and how many times I won back possession easily.
