...they have a crap overall team rating...their first team line-up stats is no more than slightly above average....

BUT THIS TEAM ARE FUCKING ACE!!!

Just got whipped 2 games online on the bounce by some little nerd playing with them.....

At first when I seen him pick Sao Paulo, I decided to go a "lesser" team also....I soon realised I had been tricked when the Two Sao Paulo forwards kept getting 1-1 breaks through on goal as a result of a simple pass forward....I was quite pissed with the experience so next game I chose AC Milan and this nerd again chose Sao Paulo. I thought this time I would walk all over him......but no...exact same thing again...his two forwards were gifted with unexplicable 1-1 breaks time after time!! He scored this way very quickly, so I decided to man mark his two forwards......to not much avail though as they simply kept getting breaks......he got his final goal of the game when Japp stam headed the ball backwards into his own net in what was one of the freakiest own goals I have ever seen on PES!

Sao Paulo my children!!!!

Not only do they link together and attack like heroes, but the AI of the game favours them as well!

Just to test this out, I picked Sao Paulo to play agaisnt the CPU on 6 stars. Yup, same thing again! although I only won 1-0 I got a huge amount of fast breaks and I only had to tap the shoot button to get cracking shots out of my forwards!!!!

Test ride them for yourself! (use default set-up)

I am wondering if something is mentioned about them in the player guide that is for sale? Anyone know?

One thing I can agree with you guys: I came up across a lots of players with not so great stats, but much more efficient on the field...
We just have to keep on discovering...

i have to agree, sao paulo are amazing on this game wether it be human or com controlled. at my mates house, we have these tournements were we all pick a team and are allowed to buy players ect. im liverpool and my mate who is SPFC, was chelsea first of all, my other mates were obviously different teams, in totall 5 of us. As liverpool i destroyed chelsea 9-1, and won 4 tourneys straight up. i then brought a couple of world class players. after about 9 tournements my mate got the sack and had to choose a "lesser team" well he chose sao paulo... well i was shocked i thought refs were biased with chelsea, but bloody hell! sao paulo take the biscut! we drew the first match 2-2 i had something like 24 shots 11 on target!! he had 6shots and 2 on target which were the goals! i was livid. then he made some signings... jared borgetti, and a few others. this time it's a bit of a different contest. there are still the one on ones BUT i tend to score a few more. i beat him 2-0. and i think 3-2.

i seriously think the default sao paulo team are favoured on the game.

I chose them for a couple of online matches yesterday and I think part of the greatness comes from the fact that team´s players get great condition when playing against great teams, when using random settings - especially if you are playing against a player with similar level of ranking. I bet Brazilian players had a modest or bad condition when they played against Sao Paolo. I beat Brazil 1-0 against one guy and was leading another Brazil team 1-0 until connection was lost...

So it seems that when condition is set to random, two factors are in play here. Overall stats of the team and player ranking. I remember playing online games having Barcelona in a crappy condition when playing against relative newcomer. I bet that he had most of his players in good or excellent condition.

Sao Paolo players´stats are relatively good, so when they are in excellent condition their stats are starting to be really excellent. See thread - > Hints and Tips The Player Form Arrows Explained! Finally!

To all: Do you play (or see) Sao Paulo with their default formation or an edited one? I like the look of the team. Will be trying to score with their keeper as he seems to have the best FK stats

Also watch out 4 the greatest Spanish club side of all time - Atletico De Madrid *ahem, cough, cough* Yes, you read that right... Atletico De Madrid!!! I've played against them on various levels with various teams and the best I've done is draw against them... Konami have transformed Mateja Kezman into Pele.

Don't know about anyone else out there but I find Chelsea are the best team to play as...

Totally agree wuv u m8. Chelsea are great on the game. However every1 is on about sao paulo, ive played as them and u r all right. Also, how Good is Kezman, hes quality, wat have konami done to him, they shud av done the same to rooney cus tbh he doesnt seem particularly good

I've played 4 games as Sao Paolo and one against them and cannot agree with you guys. They seem pretty average, really.
When playing as SP I didn't even score a goal. (0-0 against Milan, 0-0 against Arsenal and 0-1 against Dortmund).
When playing against them I won 2-0 with Brazil with ease, scoring two very lucky goals...
Six stars of course.
So where's that superiority you are talking about ?
