Long Range Shooting Tips?

Ok,

I've only played around 6 or 7 games so far. Started a master league with Marseille (just cos i like their home kit) and i've not got a Npower Championship option file yet.....

Anyway, i can't score from outside the area, i can't even get one on target. What am I doing wrong?

I bout Yaya Toure & Abou Diaby for the midfield and they have both got decent shooting abilities but everytime i shoot from outside the box it's like a balloon, literally!! Goes way and beyond row Z!!

Also,

Can't get into the "Trailing camera" so i put it onto a standard wide camera viewing angle.

What do i need to do to change my fortune in front of goal?

Would playing with a better team for a few games help?

Most of the time i shoot holding down L2 seems to make a difference imo.

if you have a good player and in space just press R1 so he kicks the ball forward slightly and tap the shoot button they normally fly in mainly becuase the keepers arnt great.
