Hi is there a way to scoring long shots(outside the box and beyond)? even when I use manual shooting the ball seems to either fly to the keepers hand or go over the bar

Try just tapping the shoot button, and watch them crack into the top corner. It works for me.

It's not hard, just make sure you get a decent angle on goal, and your player is well balanced. The shooting player doesn't even have to be a Messi or Ronaldo, the lesser players can hit great shots too. I've scored some cracking goals with Senna, Albelda, Kroos (my ML hero!).

it helps to get space away from the ball. Timing when you press the shot button is also important.

for shots from distance it's best to have a run up to the shot. also at times shots on the volley produce some fantastic results.

last night from playing about a dozen or two MLO games i scored:
- overhead volley from edge of box off underside of the crossbar
- ~25m out laser into the corner
- direct FK from about 27m

this long shots shouldnt be tapped, if its a long shot i think that the shot button should be held a little

no, the shot power bar adjust depending on how far you are from goal.

If you are 25 yards out, the game knows this (ie your player) so holding for over 50% power on a kick that the player already knows he must kick hard will just send the ball flying.

Like if you are outside the pen box shots are set at high power by the game, inside box, they are set to low power. Just my observation from playing PES for a long time.

yes maybe if your using stella players but , no matter what i always tap it and press opposite or press y/triangle if an average striker of the ball is shooting the ball
try holding the shoot button with average players ,row z nearly every shot.
My shots are like cannon balls:laugh:

Can anyone else confirm this also applies to normal play shots? I thought it was just free kicks, will try for myself later but would like to know what others think.

It's not in the command list in the pause menu so no, I highly doubt it.

I've only tried it a couple of times, didn't notice anything different so it probably onyl applies to free kicks.

Played a guy last night in MLO with rooney and etoo who only shot long balls. Was annoying, but he nailed a couple, and the corners and rebounds he got from it were dangerous.

He hit target every shot, never flew one over. Really a good idea if you have great shooters, I can see that tactic scoring a ton of rebounds and headers from corners.
