Manual pass and crossing

Hi guys,

I'm enjoying PES 2017 a lot, frankly havent enjoy a PES game like this in a while, but I thought I was gonna make it more fun by playing with manual pass.

If you never tried it, I recomend it. It is hard at first, but once you get used to it, you can make plays that are more satisfying and rewarding than playing on Level 1.

However, I have a problem that I hope people with experience playing on manual can help. Crossing is really hard for me. I practiced and practiced, and still cannot place the ball the right way, like with Level 1, so my forward can head it.

It's either to the keeper or too hard that passes everyone. Sometimes I made an awesome play and my winger sends the ball over the goal line. It is getting frustating because it limits my attacks and I cannot use crossing as a way to create chances.

I tried R2+O, L1+triangle, O by itself, but the player "kicks" the ball making it harder to head.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thank you

Yeah crossing is pretty hard on manual for me as well. What I try to do is to cross with a LOT less power and It's really been working. I've also been aiming a lot more specifically for the backpost or the near post or wherever I'm going but the key is not hitting the ball hard.

In previous versions of the game, I found that before you cross, if you stop your player ( by tapping L1 ) before doing so, this seems to pay dividends sometimes.

Think about it - in real life if you can find time to hold the ball up briefly and look up, you can cross the ball more accurately into the box. Thus the game's A.I. appears to recognise what you're trying to do, and aims to reward the thought you put into this.

Of course, you first need to shake off an opposing defender to find the time and space to do it. That's why you need to think like a real life footballer would, and vary your pace and dribbling speed.

Now I did this with assisted passing. I don't know if it would work on manual. But you can try it and see....
