Manual pass happening randomly

On the PS3, with pass support at 2, every now and again the manual pass arrow will appear and mess up whatever I'm trying to do. Definitely not pressing L2. Anyone else having this problem or know what's causing it / how to stop it?

nope never , that's your controller becoming old or running out of battery

He Crapweasel, I had the same problem. The Preset Formation also would switch randomly from preset 1 to 2,3,4. I think its because you are holding in R3. The first few matches i also had this problem and found out its because i was pressing r3 while running sometimes. It went by accident and i still do it sometimes but i try to avoid it.

Thanks. I'll try it with the controller plugged in, and see if R3 is getting stuck (although I didn't think R3 triggered manual pass?).

It's your controller probably. Oh I know that feeling. I just had 2 of my controllers die on me this week. I just hate it when a controller dies at this time of the year (when great games start to emerge like Dishonored, Hitman Absolution..). :)

Thanks. I'll see how it goes for a few days and then buy a new one. Takes me back to the PS2 days and being unable to switch on the analog stick since it always veered to the left.

I've discovered it's not just manual pass that is happening randomly - lofted manual passes are happening without me pressing anything AND the x button is sometimes performing a slide tackle (I have auto-slide tackle set to OFF). Hoping it is my controller...

Don't worry. It's your controller. My last 2 controllers that died on me had the same fault in the end. They worked on their own and it happened on every game I played from Skyrim to COD to Pes and Driver. :D
