when you download the update, it gives you the option to replace the rosters. i did not replace them, based on everyone's complaints, so my rosters stayed in tact. so i just have the new boots. i found that players whose boots i had not previously edited wound up with new boots (of course not EVERY player, only the more notable ones i guess -- guys such as Iniesta, Xavi, Gerrard, Sneijder, Ronaldo, Villa, etc.)

Phooo! So glad I had the presence of mind to check the forum before installing the update - looks like I dodged a bullet. Im not going to be installing this update (unless anybody can confirm BATIG0L's comment; does it really give you the option??)
What I really want to know though is this; we've got new boots. But have they actually bothered fixing any of the bugs, glitches and errors?!?!

yeah, no transfers, which is fine by me since i made all the transfers myself anyway. i had been waiting for the update for guys like Pires and some other new players, but i'm just going to create them myself. no big deal.

i'm in the US, but i'm using the UK version of the game (BLES01020). after i downloaded it and went through the normal process of everything, towards the end it basically asked if i wanted the update to affect my rosters. it said you can change them at a later time, so thats what i did. no change to my rosters whatsoever. some players' boots have changed, but i haven't checked to see if anybody got a face.

People need to calm down a little.. I have browsed through the game after installing the update and clicking YES to overwrite edit data. I think it feels very authentic! Glad to see Ryo Miyaichi in Ajax with what looks like a preset face! I'm also very glad that I can enjoy the game even if every transfer isn't there or player attributes aren't "right". The biggest mistake is that Luis Fabiano still is in Sevilla. But that's easily fixed 
The Libertadores teams & transfers doesn't matter that much anyways since they're a bit put aside already from the beginning..
Can't wait to soooon start BaL and ML, just waiting now for Daymos Bundesliga option file and I'm ready to fly!

On a side note I noticed that they did not add the new third string GK (Jules Goda) So now OM only has two Gk's. Fiorentina on the other hand has 6 :laugh:
@Glejs I guess I agree. New stats were never promised same with prests. About prestes just visit all the face threads they are just as good!

I believe the national team squads haven't been touched. Van Bronckhorst is still in the squad despite retiring in South Africa! No Van Nistelrooy in the squad despite being called up several times in the last 8 or so months.
I don't think any players in the game before this update, got new faces. Some new players like Miaichi (Feyenoord) and Babangida (Vitesse) appear to have proper faces.

I haven´t installed the update right now. I´ve editing since PES11 was coming out, I won´t destroy all my work with on click, can anyone tell me exactly what are the main changes of the update and what things will be destroyed by the update. It´s a shame that the editing people loosing weeks of Editing. PES only survive because all Editors like we are. Please comment my question, so I know what I should do!!!

if you've been editing, making transfers/creating new players all along, there's really no need to download the entire update. you could just do what i did, where you do not change the team rosters when the game gives you the option to do so. if you download the update without doing that, you'll get all the boots and the 2 new kits.
from what people have said around here, it's not worth the headache to get konami's roster update. maybe if there had been new faces for players such as Andy Carroll, Edin Dzeko, Andrea Ranocchia, Alessandro Matri, etc., it may have been worth all the trouble. as for me, faces for two guys i've never heard who play in leagues i don't play with, doesn't make it worthwhile to have my hard work screwed up.
