Anyone successfully offered a lower salary or transfer fee? I always try to lower what the players are asking for, but I am unable to sign them unless I give them what they want. I think it's a little ridiculous that a CB, even though it is Maldini, demands $5m a year. Help?

Also, does a better scout mean lower transfer fees and salaries? What else do better scouts help you with?

And if contracts renewals are placed on hold, is there any way to make them active again?

No way to contract with the put on hold contract,,,And from the reality that the player with big value in your team ask for a high salary you should win cups to get money

Money runs out easily when you have all top players on a 32 player team (+95 overall). The you add fan club and top staff costs ($5m each). Even if you have a perfect season, you can't cover all the costs.

Personally if I don't like a certain player's demands for a new contract then I just accept it and when the transfer window closes I put him on the transfer list after a few games. That way I can negotiate a higher price when selling him because his market value rises through the new contract. In the end it's one more high salary I've got rid of and I can use a fraction of the money to buy a good prospect on a cheap contract and develop him.

For example just recently my left-back who is 31 years of age and on 72 rating overall had the cheek to demand a new contract of £2.1mil a year on a 3 year deal (he was previously getting around 700k per year). This really ticked me off but ended up working in my favour because I already have his replacement lined up in my squad making 400k/year (a 20 year old CB I converted to LB who is 80 overall) and was going to sell the old guy at the end of the season and get a younger player in to be my new backup fullback. So once I accepted the contract his value rose from just under £1mil to over £2mil and now I'm going to put him on transfer list after winning a few more games with him in the squad and will most likely get close to his full value (£2mil) for a 31 year old left-back. And since he signed the contract in January I won't have to pay him a penny of the new contract as he will be gone by the end of the season.

As for what a better scout means, you just end up being more successful in getting through to the negotiations stage when trying to sign players, particularly with bigger clubs (depending on which scout you hire). Apart from that the calibre of players listed in your transfer targets list in negotiations increases so you are able to sign better players if you have the money. Also there's that scout whose stats are slightly above average but he can tell you a player's stats instantly so you don't have to add them to scouting list first. Personally I don't think this guy is worth the money because scouting players isn't even that long a process to begin with so you end up compromising on the ability to sign more and better players from top clubs just so you can see player stats without adding them to the scout list first.

The only problem I have is players values are too cheap and players don't ever get injured. I know slighty off topic, nevertheless equally as annoying.
