And oh yeah, Buffon is EASILY the best goalkeeper in the world, he has been for a long time. I not a juve fan but I have to say that in terms of consistency and ability he is head and shoulders the best.

I definetly would not call him the best easily. He might be the best, but he definetly gets some tough competition from goalkeepers like Casillas, Cech and Van der Sar.

I'm with you can-o-mark!! Not saying he isn't good but think that there are better GK out there than him.
Ibrahimovich proved he's no where near close to world class.

Christiano Ronaldo and Nemanja Vidic were shit agains't Liverpool.

Doesn't mean they're worse players.

Ibrahimovic didn't have his best games agains't Man U but plays very well in Italy, that country in the south that somehow escapes the eyes of the brits.

Point taken. But again I still don't but Ibrahimovic in my top 10 best strikers. I'd rather have Peter Crouch or Emile Heskey :w00t :D.
Yeah he plays well in Italy cause the football is slower than Sunday league. He plays shit when he's put up against any Prem-iership or La Liga side.

The problem with Ibrahimovic is that he's been talked up as the best striker in the world, i think if he wasn't quite so arrogant & that the media didnt build him up so much i think people's opinions would maybe be different, i think there is no doubt he is a fantastic player but perhaps a casualty of his own hype.

Very true.

He's not used to the English way of playing, which means he IS shit agains't English teams.

And I'm swedish, we all know about Zlatan's arrogance :p But I'm not sure I'd put Crouch and Heskey higher than him.

Whats all this anti-Ibrahimovich rubbish going on? I know he's not the best in the world but i feel sorry for any one who cant appreciate him. If you ask me he plays a little bit like a certain Monsieur Cantona with all his flicks and trickery, but believe me the swede is better than Cantona was. The difference is Cantona played in england whilst Ibra plays in Serie A so is automatically disliked by most ignorant englishmen. If you say he only plays well against Italian teams then surely C.Ronaldo only stands out against prem teams - he was made to look second best against Kaka & Milan in champs league 2 years ago, Messi looked a far better player in their match up with barca last season, and Ibra stood out as the more gifted player in the recent manu-inter game. Ronaldo also went away awol against the germans in portugals most important game at the euros.

You must have been watching another game, perhaps Inter Milan Vs Udinese. If you call having a shot from outside the box and it going out for a throwing as 'gifted' well................... You must love players Shola Ameobi and Darren Huckerby.

I can appreciate what Pancho is trying to say but to say he was better than Cantona is maybe a step too far.
In my opinion Ibrahimovic still has a long way to go but he is a world class talent but there are better strikers in the world.

Cantona was nothing special in the grand scheme of things. Failed every time in the CL (with decent players around him too) and was average at best internationally. It's no shock to me United won the CL two years after Cantona "retired" (*read got out before he was found out), and France cleaned up after he was dropped from their team in '93.

Ibrahimovich is a superb player, but like Cantona has failed in major matches. If you were to ask me, he's a better player than Ronaldo technically, but you can't really argue with the fact that Ronaldo scored in a CL final, won it, and generally has produced more over his career to date.

Cantona was a leader on and off the pitch. And when you needed something special, he did it. When he was in the champions league with United, Premiership teams were hampered by the foreigner rule so he never always got to play. Plus they were the days when Italian and Dutch football were dominant.
He was left out of the French squad along with Ginola (yes over rated) due to they never got on with the manager. Ginola because of his 'off the field' antic with the ladies and Cantona's laziness to train.

There's a lot more to ones game than the technical side. Else all them free stylers would be stars. But the skill Ronaldo can do at the speed he's travelling in unbelievable. Anybody can do a step over standing still. Just because he scored in the champions league final doesn't mean anything. It's what he's achived in his career.

*Rant over*

Suppose its best to get back to topic I suppose before the yellow cards come out.

I'll address these one at a time:
- United needed special things for years in a row in the CL when "King Eric" played - it NEVER happened. Then magically two years later with pretty much the same defence and midfield United managed to win the big one.... Coincidence? I think not.
- Yes the foreigner rule affected Man United then, but Cantona ALWAYS played. I even remember Schmeichel being dropped, but never Eric. 4-0 against Barca rings a bell there.
- Ginola was dropped from the French team after giving the ball away in the last minute in a vital qualifier for WC94. Bulgaria went up the other end, scored, and Ginola was never forgiven for it. Indeed he moved to Newcastle to get away from his own supporters who had begun jeering him.
- Cantona was dropped in favour of Zidane and Djorkaeff after that match for good. He never performed in big games for France (in what was an amazing team) and Jacquet saw this and decided he was past it and they should build to the future. He proved he never needed Cantona by fashioning the greatest modern day international side there's been.

Ronaldo is a great player, it's just a shame that there's about 5 players better than him in world who are all injury prone!

hello there , guys on the Cantona topic i believe he is good in different aspects of the beautiful game and Ibrahimovic is better in other way. They both have their pros and cons.

I think basically to conclude, most have to admit that Ibrahimovic is a class player but certainly not the best striker on the planet.

For me Lionel Messi is the best player in the world just now, Ronaldo has not produced his amazing form from last season but Messi has been consistenly brilliant for the past couple of seasons.

how come everyone got Ronaldo and Messi.
Casillas
Sergio Ramos, C. Metzelder, M. Richards, Drenthe
Rijkaard CDM
Sneijder CM, Lucas CM, Chirne LM
Van Der Vaart CAM
Pato CF. / John Cruff
The defense all got body balance over 90 but I had to train them, most of the players on the team are slowly trained and seems pretty good. I decide to use two legends cause there is no one really could play better CDM than Rijkaard.

Can I just ask one question, Why does everyone build there team in Master League instead of in the register players in the edit menu? (then starting the Master League with that team then defaulting after saving)???
