Hey !!!

Just a quick question about the Master League. I'd say nearly everybody in these forums knows the answer but i am an idiot. So help would be great.

When playing in the Master League how do you improve your good players abilities?

For example: When i am playing the Master League with Arsenal, and i play a few reserves, say Van Persie and Fabregas, they improve in ability after each game i play them in, which is great. But when i go to the development sheet on the main page to check out all my players, i find that nearly all my first 11 have decreased in ability. How on gods green earth do i stop this from happening?????????? I dont want players like Vieira and Pires going crap.

So if anybody can help me in my little delema, it would be fantazmic !!!

Hope to here from you soon !!!!!!!!!

The simple answer is Pires is 30 ain't he ? So he is miles off his peak. Also Vieira is 27 right ? He can't increase because he already reached his peak.

Better stick to your Fabregas and Van Persie ;) .

Personally I think that it's bullshit. I like the idea of young players getting better, but the rate and age that players decline is pants. Pires scored a shitload of goals last season (Arsenal's 2nd top scorer behind the man) - don't tell me this guy's passed his peak. Vieira is as if not more influential to Arsenal as he has ever been. I also don't agree with the number of stats that go down. Dribbling accuracy for instance, does not die with age. I can agree that speed, agility, stamina, jump, response may go down with age but not basically all of them.

Beckham will be able to curl a ball round corners 'till he retires. Bergkamp will be able to turn players and give defence splitting passes 'till he hangs his up. Shearer will coninue to be a god at heading this season, and he's lost none of his physical ability at holding off defenders. So sort it out for PES5

I agree Mambo. But it's the first time they have tried anything like this on the Masterleague. Obviously they'll be a lot of room for improvement, which will make the anticipation for PES5 even greater.

Only your younger players (<26) will gain experience after each game that they play in. The players slowly will begin to decline after this age, and the only way that you can improve them is through weekly pre-season training. This is a slow and annoying task, especially if you have a big squad.
