every other player has speed merchants like etoo and lavezzi in thier team and they keep running past your players and winning all the time. i select only similar level in settings but i still get those redicilous division 1 teams that have messi ibra ronaldo etc. is there anyway to defend against etoo in the game? why are speed mechants so difficult to defend against? also the camera is awful. and theres lots of cheats online. how the heck have they managed to sign all these players when the game has been out for like a week?

also the contract system is awful becouse im more likely to lose against division 1 spammers and not be able to afford to renew my players etc.
theres just no way to beat those etoo speed mechant spammers.

Agreed I have no clue how they can keep these super squads together...is it really fun having CR7 get the ball and just speed past everyone 7 times in a row, how about some build up play? How about taking the assisted passing off and try playing how the game IMO is intended to be played.stops the ping pong passing

Keep them in front of u thats all i can say when defending. Use your O/D levels effectively. I usually have upto 65 % possession when playing those teams. And when they do get the ball i drive them as far out as possible and have them just high cross. There is no way you should allow them to dribble in into the box.
Again since crossing is pretty easy in this game they have a chance of getting headers but thats what you would have to fight for and win.

Just beat a guy 3-1, who had ronaldo, villa, lennon, agbo n eto'o. he managed just 3 shots and i conceded an own goal.

The best way to tackle them is just to not care for a win.
Build your own team, not ultimate team and than you will see what real fun is about.

I honestly pity them.

65% Possession? Wow..you mean you are one of those fantastic players that all the time pass from defenders to midfielders and back again? I am sure most guys here would love to play with you :tongue:

Also i would like to point out that this year MLO is unfair in terms of money for the following reasons:
-- First of all in matchmaking i am still unrated and with about 25million total assets. Every 3 games even if i have the option play similar teams, i end up playing with a D1 guy full of superstars and if I win lose or draw i will get the same money as if i was playing a d5 guy and the D1 guy will get his amount of money as if he was playing with a d1 guy. All in all the is a lose situation for poor teams.
-- You should only play with teams from the same division or at least like last year get more money when your opponet is superior and the opposite.

Come on Konami, its fucked up this year. In the forums so far, the majority of posts are negative. Ok the gameplay its not that great, at least fix the MLO rules as soon as possible with some patches!

In certain parts of Europe the games been out for nearly three weeks. I've only played 20 games online and already I've got 6 or 7 new players.

It's sad to say, but almost all the players I've purchased I've looked at their speed stats. Their dribbiling speed stats. It's the only way to compete against others online.

if anything i think its better when on pes 2011 if i beat d5 id get 2 points and make a 100k so that game would be a waste of time now its based on how good your squad is and WINNING for how much money you earn! also cant go out and expect to buy 1 superstar and compete need to spread money around your team gradually and improve slightly as spear funds are their! dont panic when a players got 2 games left on hes contract also that means your got 2 games to sort it! 10 game contracts are fine no need to buy 20 or 50 untill you have the payers you really want

I understand the complaint about speed merchants but I speak for myself.. I have Ronaldo's Messi's because I in the "past" I struggled a lot to build a good squad!

you don't need to pass between your defenders all game to have 65% possession, I'm on attack all the time and I usually end up with around 60%
