Master League thread

I decided, that after last year having it easy by choosing Liverpool, I'd start with the original squad. I put it on Regular difficulty (plan to move it to Professional when I get promoted, and Top Player when I win my first title. If I started on Top Player, and found myself doing well - doesn't bode well for playing this game for another year!).

Initially struggled to get wins in the league, won both legs of my first D2 Cup game, but it wasn't until my 4th league game I got my first win.

About eight games into the league I suffered my first defeat, and shortly also got knocked out of the D2 Cup. Ended the first half of the season in third place, in a four way battle for the 2nd-5th places.

So in the transfer window I tried to sign as many players as possible, but no-one would sign for me, so after selling Ettori for a decend sum of 2000P, I had to get three players on loan - Brunt from West Brom, Ramsey from Arsenal and Richard Garcia from Hull.

I started well after the transfer window, but only picked up 1 point from 2 games against teams around me, however, my form has picked up, and without the commitment to the cup, I am starting to do well, I am slowly making 3rd place (promotion) safe, and I am battling hard with Fenerbache (who I play last) for 2nd.

Garcia has been a bit of a let down, yet to score, and no much better than Hamsum, Ordaz etc, but Ramsey and Brunt have been excellent, and with a big potential, so I will be hoping to have enough money by the end of the season to sign them permanently.

WOW! What an end to the season!

I slowly let my lead over fourth place slip away, and by the end three games, me Celtic and Fenerbache were all scrapping for the final two promotion spots. I blew a chance to be in third before the final game with a 2-2 draw with Zenit, so I had to beat Fenerbache in my final game (as Celtic took 2nd). I went 1-0 due to Ordaz, before the equalised within seconds. However, in the very last minutes, Aaron Ramsey got his first goal for me, to send me up! Woo!

I've put in as many friendly matches as possible, to raise funds for next players, namely Brunt and Ramsey!

I one problem with the Master League this year, is there any way to remove all teams when selecting teams to be in your league, rather than doing it one at a time?

Yeah, that sucks. Also not being able to select Other League B teams to use in the second division also sucks. It would have been great to have used created teams from the Coca Cola Championship for use in the second division.

I don't believe there is - it's quite a tedious process.

I had my leagues:
League A Division 1: All the English teams
League A Division 2: Me, plus the 11 best Other Teams
League B: All the Spanish clubs
League C: The 10 best French clubs, and the 10 best Dutch clubs
League D: All the Italian teams

Unsurprisingly, at the end of my first season, Hull Stoke and West Brom came back down.

I started my master league with real madrid, i decided i would use the original players also, and let me tell you, it's great. I've never played so many challenging games (top player).

i had a poor start to the season, with no goals in 4, lost 3, drew 1. But then my first victory was against zenit with ruskin scoring a diving header in the 69th min.
from there the results started picking up with my team in 5th when it came to negotiations.

in the negotiation period, i managed to sign 2, 17 yr olds, some korean called cho jin wha and a midfielder called gambino. i managed to sign di maria on loan as well.

i am currently in 3rd with about 5 games to go with rosenborg and willem II both 1 point behind me.

Gambino is well worth a look, he has pace and has got a good finish, hes good to play on the wing. Di maria is a strong finisher, probably my top goalscorer since he signed and cho can have his moments and he has scored 2 for me since he joined.

yer playing with normal teams like man utd is nothing compared to playing with the original pes teams, i havnt started master league this year, stuck to BAL lol, but in pes 2008 i did alot of seasons and my team was totally changed with many young unknown players that turned into superstars, and this was on top player nd very hard master league mode, very challenging but fun!

finished 8th first season.
now im 2nd in second season so far. notable signings: seol hi kyeon, gunther, oshea, shaw, christian benitez.

Time for my first season in the big league - Professional difficulty now.

Made some good singings - Greening, Cousin, Kazim and Tomkins on frees, and I signed Brunt on the last day of the transfer window.

Went through a rigorous pre-season, chose the hardest opponents possible for every fixture, to get as much transfer money as possible. I think I won 5, drew 1 and lost 2.
