Max Drive word of wisdom!!!

I purchased a Max drive recently from Play.com and yes they do everything just as well as you would expect them to. They save data well and the software included with them is good. However, they are not idiot proof. I saved all backups of my older stuff (Prov 1 and 2 master league teams, metal gear solid 2 crap etc.) and then i went to delete them off my memory card (once saved on my PC, why have them filling space on my memory card??) so i selected the files and clicked delete. EVERYTHING WENT!!!!! I defo selected the files i wanted to delete, but i lost everything else. Tony Hawks Saved Characters (luckily THUG 2 is out and i need to recreate) and more importantly, my master league team for Pro Evo 3 (CRYS). The memory card that i 'wiped' is now unusable (completly!!)
I am just glad pro 4 is under a week away and it can be like nothing has gone.
Just warning peeps to be careful, and back up regularly, especially when using a Max Drive

No, not idiot-proof, but this looks worser, like an error of the at the included software.
Still I am interested to buy something like this. Can I use it with an unchipped Xbox?

Yes you can use an X-Port and a Max Drive on all PS2s. No need for chips or mods. They work fine on them all.

But I asked for the Xbox... Do you know about that?

You could have just deleted them without using the Max Drive and just done it through the PS2 Browser...
