hey, i was wondering if any1 could help me out. I usually get deflected balls thrown to my amf or dmf, and i strike the ball but its always not on target, then i try dribble the shoot (i do feint but never works=(, defenders gets tricked but still manages to get a touch on the ball to knock it lose). i was wondering what tecniques to score in the middle. and also how do you do nic nacs, rabonas (what to press?) srry im a newb.

Well for me that happens a lot on corner kicks and it fall to someone like Gourcuff (milan), so what I do is make one cut to beat the defense the strike. If you keep cutting back and forth the player slows down and the CPU can catch you to get a deflection on the shot. So when you get the ball in the middle make one move to a side and strike. Also good to know which foot is best to strike with. As for the rabona, It happen like twice for me and i cant explain it.

It's frustrating when a good volley from outside the area goes over. But you only need to tap square.

I recommend you attend 'free training', make it so that all the opposition players are participating, then get yourself in the middle shooting position. When you've done that, all you have to do is rewind to that position using the record feature...This will give you plenty of attempts at what you wish to do. As for the rabona, use the search button on this site because there are already numerous posts on how to do this trick.

That record thingy is amazing man, it's great for rehearsing moves. Yesterday I was trying airborne one-two's on the right side between the cmf and the winger (winger-cmf-winger), and had them coming off quite well in no time thanks to this little feature.

Nice idea but middle shooting is generally very difficult to pull off in PES6. It doesn't matter how much you practice, you're still only going to score 1 out of every 100 shots from 25 metres+ distance.

If I can recall correctly, middle shooting was a lot easier to pull off in PES5. In my opinion, KCET need to make it easier to score from long range in PES7.

The only person i've really scored from that distance from is Adriano and Windass (no jokes please!!!). Good shot power.

Adriano - exactly what I'm talking about.

In PES5, at least I could score from 25 metres+ with players like Lampard, Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, C. Ronaldo, Rooney, Ronaldinho and the like.

It's close to impossible to pull off long range shots in PES6 - even with players who score long range shots on a regular basis in real life.

It has to be fixed in PES7.

Yes, and you don't get many chances to shoot from there anyway on the higher difficulty settings.

It does matter how much you practice.

You say you score from 25m+ about 1/100 shots. 5 minutes ago I scored three 25m+ shots, out of three consecutive long range attempts, in one game, using Everton. Not 'halfwayliners', but nevertheless 25m+. Sometimes they glide over, sometimes they'll scrape the bar, sometimes they'll get punched and sometimes they'll fly in. I was lucky long range opportunities arose multiple times in my last match and admittedly lucky to score 3 in a row! But it shows I must be doing something right...The secret is in practicing, doing this can reduce those massive odds of 1/100 to 1/5. Anyone can score them quite regularly if they practiced enough.

I always find it easier to score long rangers if you have a player like Alan Smith or Juninho and your on the counter attack, once you get to half way line run with speed burst till your about 30m from goal and tap square halfway on the gauge, usually flies in for me! have scored some great goals like this!

That sometimes works for me and the counter attack is really the only time it works as on a higher difficulty people just close you down. :)

are you all mental?! you can score goals from every direction from all sorts of distance, r1 and square gentler than if you're chipping it, scoreed from just outside centre circle with Zico, best in game for long distance shots. Seedorf and Gerrard also great
