Mistake in PES3 – Offside Decision

OK, I don’t know if this has been mentioned before, so if it has then well I’m sorry to have to go over it again but it’s really bugging me and I just have to get it out in the open.

I’ve been playing PES3 ever since it came out but I only realised this error in the game a few days ago. When a player from a side is given offside the replay comes up with the yellow line showing the player in the offside position. But when the free-kick is awarded to the other team, the free-kick has to be taken not from the position of where the player was offside (yellow line) but instead from the position in which he actually touches or gets really close to the ball. Now that’s wrong!

The offside rule is sometimes very slow and sometimes it takes ages to finally get the decision. Let me try to explain it a little more clearly. Say for instance a player (call him Kewell) is offside 2 yards away past the half way line when the defender (Henchoz) kicks the ball up the field to him, say to the opposing teams’ box where Harry collects it. Then the yellow line will show Kewell being offside from Henchoz’s pass (2 yards away from half way line) but the free-kick will be awarded from the point of where Kewell actually receives the ball (opposing teams’ box).

Anyways… that’s a mistake and it’s really starting to get on my nerves.

Its the same mistake that I've noticed since ISS 98 and it makes me want to kick off.

Really?

I'm gonna contact Konami and tell them that they've been making the same mistake over and over again then.

As long as it's in their half, and not a shootable postion or place, no one really cares.

'As long as it's in their half', hehe, yeah but it's not always like that, I knew someone would bring something like this up. I've also noticed that they sometimes even award the free-kick to the opposition for the offside in the wrong half if the player is running back from an offside position. And that's just real stupid.

youre kidding right? though you cant even be offside in your own half? - idiots

Back and to the left.
Yep most offisdes are going to be around your own box so a few metres here or there doesn't matter that much does it? A long toe upfield to your big man upfront sorts that one out sharpish.

Yeah contact them and let them know that 'EVEN IS ON'

so many times my guy is right next to the defender and hes 'offsides'.

Or if the guy is not involved in the play...then it ISNT offsides.

Those are the two things that bug me the most about offsides in this game.

sometimes the offside calll is so bad that i'm running with the ball and i hit R2, my player throw the ball ahead (to him) and when he catches it The referee says offside and i'm not in offside even
and sometimes the game call the offside when i receive the pass, and i'm not in offside for a lot of metres, that thing happpen almost all the times when i¡m playing a game and i am the away team, So you think that' got something to do?

I know that you can't be offside in your own half but you still sometimes (not often) get the free-kick from the wrong half.
