Just finished my first ML season with Leeds (just finishing top) and got promoted to Premier League. I wasn't offered to join another club to manage. Is this because I haven't done enough in my first season to warrant an offer coming in? Or do you have to stick with the same club year in and year out?

Also, while I'm here. I had some players up for contract renewal, they didn't like my terms and it said something like 'offer is on hold'. On the last day of the season it said I had to tie up any remaining contract renewals but I couldn't find anywhere to adjust my terms. The next season came and they left the club. Where am I going wrong with that?

Obviously you don't look like you have played ML before. So, yes you do stick with your team the whole time, and you don't get to change it, unless you want to restart it. The contract renwals; obviously the players aren't happy with the wages you are negotiating with them, so for future reference, if you want decrease their demands, do so by only a couple of thousands. EX. a player wants a renewal for 1,000,000 you can negotiate and ask him if he wants 800,000 instead.

Seriously? I have to play as the same team? That's pretty poor.

As for the contract renewals, I realise the offer I made was not suitable, but surely I should be able to reconsider my offer to get them to stay.

the managerial mode is more about the playing of football matches and not so much like champ man.

Regarding the contract renewals, you do get a chance to renegotiate if the player wishes to stay.

At the beginning of my winter transfer window, 4 players put their contracts on hold and i could not renegotiate. they all had 6 months left on their contracts. i really didn't want them to go on a free so for the second half of the season, i gave them loads of starting eleven football. At the end of the season, all 4 players wanted to renegotiate and all renewed their contracts.

So you do sometimes get a chance to renegotiate. if you really want to keep hold of them, just keep them happy.
