Sorry Im sure these have been answered at some point but any help appreciated, giving online a miss and in fairness quite enjoying the ML (although games very low scoring).

1. do you have to wait for the scouts report before you can bid for a player?

2. Can you negotiate contracts with players? you used to be able to on older versions, I have a couple of players in last year but can see where I do this?

3. Expected earnings - basically do I understand it right that as long as the bottom line is a positive figure you are ok? i.e. this seems to me to be the figure left over after everything is paid. do you get sacked if it becomes negative?

1) No

2) Not really. Your scout negotiates, and if an agreement is reached, you can dicker and deal with it by extended or shortening the contract length, money offered, etc. One thing that pisses me off.

3) You get sacked, yes. It's what is considered "game over". If you have money in the bank, no pun intended, then you are golden.

You can bid for a player before your scout returns a report - you just don't know anything about the player's stats at that point, only his overall rating. The longer you leave the player in your scout list, the more you'll learn about him. It can take a lot of weeks before you'll see any player cards they hold, and the time will depend on the level of scout you have.

I cant see where you can do this, when I go into negotiations it just directs me to the dossier all the time? My overall point is I know how good some players are without having to rely on scout report.
