I will be getting X-BOX live soon, and one of the first (if not the) things of which I will do is go directly onto Master League Online. Now because I am a late-comer to it, does this mean I have a disadvantage as player prices will have already have increased? and will I take a long time to get a key player? I am looking forward to this mode and wish to know as much about it, if there is much to it, prior to getting live.

Thanks

I can't really help because i'm in the same boat man, I haven't gone into the depth of this mode but the few gaems I played in Ocotber were horrible :/
I was placed against players from higher divisions with much better players and found it difficult to make any sort of money.

when you start out in D5, you will meet new guys like yourself with poor players, and you will meet guys with 500+ games and great players, but who just suck at the game. Finding cheap players is easy really, since there are so many to choose from. however the popular players will have a highly increased price. 50% in some cases, all comes down to who you buy. Being a new player doesnt have to be a disadvantage.

Really? I haven't seen any players who are 50% higher. Like Messi you mean, or others?

Anyway, good point you made, which is that when you first start out you're buying cheap players anyway, and there's no major disadvantage because there are so many to chose from. It's great how everyone's squads look so different. I thought everyone would be buying the same players as me, but every team I play is someone with a totally different take on how to put together a good squad.

I`m beginning to get fed up with it now sadly, I always play against teams full of stars and usually lose. Have scored quite a few ogs too...
Bit of a catch 22, no money for players and can't win to earn more money

Have tried joining competitions but always miss out !
Is it worth paying tournament entrance if you go out after 1 game?

I wish the injuries and suspensions would carry fwd, maybe your squad would be far more important. Wonder if they will fix that as it mentions it in the online info section
On the plus side tho, haven't played against many muppets, most PES people are very sporting : )

Any tips other than try and improve gameplay and win more games ? I play on Regular.
Do stadiums affect gate money ? 1 game is usually worth just 15000 for me.

when you first go into the mlo go to the online settings then quick match settings and you can change it to play against people of a similar level to yourself, however i wouldnt worry abot playing people with better sqauds etc cos a lot of people cheated when the game came out and got loads of comp money and bought good players, but the majority of these cheaters are pretty shit at the game hense the need to cheat, just because they have the better team sheet doesnt guarantee them the win as you will find out, again you will see this cos there are so many players that are in div5 that have all the best players, why havent they been promoted up the league?- because they are shite!

There are options to play players that are close to you in terms of ratings if you find yourself playing ppl in div 1 or 2, it's not really that bad playing people with superstars, I mean even if you lose youd probably earn more than winning against a team with default players,+ many of these guys are just goofs

I have unchecked the option to play similar levelled players. So I've been put up against a few D1,2,3 players (I'm in D4) Which is a good thing for me really, unless I play on a sunday night and want promotion. I played a D1 guy 0-0 and I ended up getting 240k cash for it! A normal win against a D5 team usually gives me 100k. Even a loss will give you loads if your opponent has a great team. Mostly if a guy in D4 or D5 has CR7, Arshavin, etc. They most likely suck and only play coach mode to aquire more games to get the funds.

Joining a competition is by far the best way to make money fast. Even if you lose all your games. I can usually get my entry fee covered after 3 games or so, and I can normally get 6-7 games in total.

iamcanadianeh: A few of the top players are ridicilously overpriced, Ronaldo is 15mill or so. starting at about 8 or 9mill i think? I find if I'm interested in a player, and I see 1000+ players own him I wont purchase him, since I know I can get a similar levelled player much cheaper if less people own him. (My squad at the moment consists of players with overall stats in the low 70s.)

This would go along way to preventing alot of poor play practice along with fatigue carrying over it would prevent stuff like sprinting constantly, and constant super high pressure play it would also mean people needed a decent subs bench. Hopefully Konami do something along those lines at some point.

I agree they need to put in fatigue and injuries.. I don't see why they didn't. For this reason alone you really don't need more than a 1st team. With fatigue and injuries I would be a lot more conservative about building my squad.

Oddly one of the things I miss about MLO is the lack of fatigue and sometimes losing a player for 20 weeks. ;)

So if you play people who as you say are 'Shite' and have lots of good players (I assume you mean CR7, etc..) and you win does this mean that you will get a nice amount of money from beating them?

I still don't understand your original post. This thread is about MLO, but it sounds like you're talking about offline because u say you play regular.

It was just to give people an idea of my skill level.
Will try and play a few tournaments to get some money, just hope I don't get fed up with unsporting muppets (my main reason for not playin many online PES games)

yes mate, just make sure that you mark players like that tightly and try not to let them get in on goal cos they will just outpace the original players.

just a note to anyone reading, if you play on xbox and come up against me and the game drops out midway through, i havent quit, as mentioned in other posts my cxn is pretty unstable and i get quite a few drop outs, so please dont think im one of the cheating bastards cos im probably more pissed off than you are that the cxn has gone!
