i think about half of them are defaults, but slowly ironing those creases out... If things don't start looking like their turning by the end of the week I might just start again...

Form is broken in this game.My front 5 have all been on red for 20 matches or so:joel:.I've had some decent games against players with lesser teams, but the game gets silly once you face fast players and made me stop playing mlo.Constant running round goalkeeper etc.. scoring and playing jew football all the time just ruins the game. Faced someone yesterday who scored four goals with Eto, by just running round the keeper:facepalm:.He was still doing it at 4-0 up:facepalm::facepalm:.At least last year you could counter the slutty football like low crosses etc...but it's nearly impossible this year to constantly stop the abusers of this game.

Konami should fix goalkeepers NOW. It's incredible how dumb they are on 1 on 1's... press triangle and you are dead, the GK just walks away from play.

MLO form isn't like previous versions of the game. Now, form changes after X amount of days (or maybe hours). So if you have lots of players on red, then try to play more matches in your gaming session. If most of your squad is on bad form and you don't want to sell off players, then just play another game/mode or don't play so many MLO matches.

3 tips:

Learn to play defense.

Buy an enforcer and at least 1 solid left / right back with a def awareness of 3.

Buy players that suit your offensive style.

BIG TIP:

When players reach the end of their contract check the curve before you renew contract. If it looks like they've just hit purple, or are approaching it, then you know he's going to be like that for a few days. No point renewing contract only for him to then warm your bench. Look for another player with similar or better stats, sell off your out if contract player and buy a new red up superstar! And if you really miss the guy you sold buy him back again when his form is ok again (as long as you can afford him, you may have to sell off another out of contract out of form player). And so on and so forth.

As far as I can see, this year there is no real penalty for buying and selling players frequently as long as they're out of contract. Or unless you're one of the lucky few who got neymar when he was like 10mil at the start and you'd have to pay 20 to buy him again... But then you would have got 20 for him when you sold him...

Sorry to double post, but two further tips:

1. You can turn things around. As long as you have a full team and about 3 out of 6 subs that aren't defaults. Also you will die a horrible death without myPES. Just follow the advice of replacing out of contract players with slightly better players. Your match fees will increase everytime. I think team growth is almost exponential.

2. Please learn how to use R2. It's my only iodine against speedsters. I have no problem with them now and regularly embarrass ronaldo et al when they think they can just waltz through my defence. I only concede from cheap balls over the top when my back four go to sleep or when I make a mistake. But that's down to me and my slightly inadequate defenders (I really ought to invest in better faster and stronger centre backs - but I was too busy trying to get Forlan).

nice diagram! I have just bought Pato on the up. Buy buy buy in this pes, My squad changed ever 2/3 games, the more I buy the more money I make. Just make sure you sell at the end of the contracts.

And yeah, the only problem I really have know with the game is keepers. If the striker has a high dribble speed there is literally nothing you can do to stop him running 3 or 4 steps to either side drawing your keeper out so they finish into an empty net, such a cheap way to concede and it seems its all some players can do, I bought casillas who I thought might stop this from happening..... nope, still by passed like he's Kevin Pilkington

there are few thinngs you can try and the opposition will never get a chance to go 1 on 1 (worked for me)
1.play with deeper defence line or (Long Ball) strategy.
2.buy fast defenders(speed>80)
3.make sure defender(including RB and LB) have defence awareness (3).
4.Anticipation: before the opposition play a through pass, make sure you switch control to you CB and make him run backwards while closeing down the opposition with [] square (for ps3).

I have a fantastic squad now, on what I call the tier 2 players (the ones just before messi/ronaldo/rooney/ramos etc) Won my first competition aswell happy as larry.

congrats, i managed to qualify but couldn't win it. still struggling to find the right tactics. i have a teir 2 team also and i think i will stick to it until i can afford the big guns.

Thanks, its the 1st time I've even qualified, then I only won the next game on penalties after a 0-0 stalemate, then the opponent in the quarters didn't show up so I got a free ticket into the Semi's - so I had an easy and fortunate run in, I smashed both teams in the semi's and final though 4-0 and 3-0 The guy in the final kept messaging me after saying ''lucky dog! you shit, close game! you lucky!'' I simply replied 64% 16 shots 13 on target, 3-0 - are you crazy? haha what a fool thinking it was close, I think he had 2 shots.

Yeah I'm gunna keep the Tier 2 for a while, after my victory in the Div3 cup I was brought back down to earth by been smashed 4-1 in the ML open. Couldn't believe it haha, 2 Goals from Villa and 2 from Messi I need to save big to get these players, I got about 25 Million all in all from winning the Div3 so its very lucrative.

I think I'm going to keep my tier 2 team for the intirety and have them as back up, I love young up coming players so really enjoy playing with Hazard etc.

Another tip:

Some players are just superb. Doesn't matter how low their overall rating is or how low their 'top speed' is. And it doesn't matter what arrow they're on. Etzichenko (sp) is one of these epic dudes. He'll cost you just over a million. Yep u heard that right. But he's keeping lucho out of the midfield. There are other special players like that: defoe's one of them. There's a reason he's the only non-speed merchant fwd in the top 15 most popular players... His stats are all in the right places despite his low rating...

Yeah, that Etzichenko fella is amazing. His transfer fee is around 800,000 (salary not included) so this should be one of the very first players you buy. He has high 80's for passing and free kicks - he has about 40 assists in 90 games for me and I've scored around 20 free kicks with him.

If you don't have a world class team then there is no excuse for not checking this guy out.
