seems all good, apart from the bit where you may give away penalties or corners because of the player movement or animation.

I don't mind silly goalkeeping errors, because in real life goalkeepers DO make silly mistakes! I think PES 2009 would be worse if every goalkeeper was perfect, it just doesn't happen. Dodgey goalkeeping is part of football.

in the Leipzig demo the Goalkeepers were only good on top player. I have seen blunder on pro level, so hat makes me a little worry

Well I know what you're saying but Gk do make silly mistakes in Football. I call it realistic.

What i also hated about the keepers was that they always seemed to be glued to the goal line, meaning long range lobs were always impossible, what happened to scoring from your own half!!! Plus goalkeepers should make less mistakes but have a wider range of mistakes such as the occasional Paul Robinson air kick(maybe have this as a special attribute only for Paul Robinson)

^Maybe it will be fixed. Anyway Keepers don't really mind me unless they're easy as Pes 3. You could beat the goalkeeper always from short distance.

Agreed, beating a GK in real-life isn't as hard as many people think.. Maybe GK should Improve, as that can only Improve the game -but- the Important thing is the Defense.

It is Not that hard to score a Goal -the- hardest thing is Finding the Space in order to shoot at Goal.

I think PES09 sounds better by the day, it looks like the 1st Football Sim with Both good Graphics and good Gameplay.

I'll go and get those mags. I live in here..
PES is a lifestyle in Turkey..
Do u know there are Playstation stores which consist of 10-15 PS2 & PS3 s... PES is the only game that played.. And those stores are open from 08:00 24:00 .. and it is too difficult to find an empty place...
That's why Konami send copies to game mags here .. Sales are great here..
When we come back to 2009:

I always play the game in simulation mode.. I edit all players, jerseys boots etc.. Graphics, slow speed, increase of realisim, freedom on pitch.. these are the improvements that I waited for and I think I'll get it..

For me there is only one thing that BOTHERS me .. CAMERA ANGLES didn't come back.. I can't see the point why they dont include it.. Is it too difficult to program such a thing.. I don't think so..

on previews and review

Yes, previews are positive ones and sources are really reliable ones. EGM preview is 89 out 100; but they think that game would be improved a little bit more, in terms of AI and goal keeping. Editor of Level mag thinks that it is not good but perfect; 97 out of 100. Regarding the mistakes of goal keepers; author of Oyungezer Mag thinks that it will not be a boring issue; because defenses are really strong and it is not easy to pass the defensive player. So, mistakes of keepers is reasonable. In thier press copy, they only get 8 stadiums; they noted that Wembley is perfect. Another important point is the graphics looks very shinny; like Fifa series. And another important word is that you can notice the wrinkles of kits even in wide cam. As they reported that it is the sign that Konami elaborated the little details and improved lots of things; although many people thinks (in forums) that it is so similar to PES 2008. I wrote emails to authors to ask how good the game is. Before getting Level Mag; I asked author of the article; he summarized the game as perfect, now you can again feel the freedom of PES. Author of article Oyungezer summarizes the is real joy. He continued there is no need to get excited because it is not a total different game; but it is really fun.

Yes, there are numerous places that you can find the boys playing PES. To be honest; I do not think that sales are great. This potential does not reflect the sales due to the pirated copies.

Aslangsli, by being a kartalbjkli, I'm really pleased to read ur summary.. I'm glad to hear how the game improved..
- no slowdown on Ps3
- gameplay speed reduces
- CL licensing and more stadiums
- better lightning and grafix
- harder defence
- better AI
- increase of realism
- become a legend mode
- online 7vs7 mode

I think this game will have no negatives side than 2008... Even though 2008 was not a success , I continue to play it even today.. I can't imagine replay value of 2009..

BTW what's ur PSN nick aslangsli?

Yeah, PES09 basically is a PS2 game with great Graphics.. but still, the days of saying that PES had the Gameplay -whereas- FIFA had the Graphics.. those days are Over, as If anything, PES haves better looking players than FIFA.

Maybe not a reason to get too excited, because PES09 will probably play similarly to PES5 and PES6.. So it isn't anything Revolutionary -But- regardless, One of the reasons I'm excited is because PES09 really looks like the 1st Football Sim with Both Graphics and Gameplay.

I think Konami has done it for this year -but- for PES 2010, people will want to see something truly "Revolutionary".

By the way, Most of the fans who are demanding Revolutionary Overhauls to the game (myself included) will probably forget all about that -once- we start playing PES09.
