Motion control? No thank you!

Not sure if anyone else has discussed this yet, but I read on IGN that Konami are "aggressively" looking into incorporating both Natal and PS3's motion controller into future versions of PES. Personally, I think this is a terrible idea, at least in terms of making it the primary means of control. If Konami wants to make it a secondary option, fine. But I have absolutely no interest in playing a football video game (or any other video game, for that matter) by waving my arms around, or pretending to kick an invisible ball on my living room floor.

I know I'm a PES newbie, so I'd like to read what all you PES veterans think about motion control, and whether or not you feel it would enhance or hinder your enjoyment of video game football.

Please, Konami, think long and hard before you start messing with motion control. Right now it's a gimmick, nothing more.

yeah i agree with you, at the end of the day if i'd wanted to get a mild amount
of excercise and look like a retard whilst playing video games, i'd have bought
a wii.

i dont know. it would be pretty cool if you thought about. but then again, i can see from where you lot are coming from. i mean, if we wanted to do this, we could jus go out with some people and play football at a park or sumink.
i agree when you say that it could feature as a secondary feature, but that could be really difficult to do. if it went that way, i would be quite disappointed, dont get me wrong it sounds like a great idea but it should be represented as a secondary feature. Not giving up the original control.

I agree. If we want a different gaming experience with PES, we can buy the wii-version.

I think they should keep the controls and the controlling system as it is.

I have played both PES and FIFA actually on the Wii. And I felt the motion-controlling was dull, allthough it was without the latest motion-devise that has been released in recent years.

You had to drag the players in order to make them run. It felt like, not being in control of the actions that happened in the game.

If they can make the game good, with both motion-controls and classic-controls, so you can have the option to choose, maybe it can be a good idea. Only maybe. I think it would be a little too drastic and rather rushed to implement the idea in the near future.

ye, if they are talking about wii technology but like on next gen consoles, then i dont think its a good idea, they should start with the wii technology as a base and work from there.

Oh god. Maybe the most silly idea so far. If they're being serious about this, can't they just implement this as a playing opportunity so we can still chose the oldschool control..
