Hey Blade1889 will you let us know how you get on- online? Desperate to know before i purchase it, and can you let us know have the penalties reverted back to being as they were on PES 2009.

Thanks blade1889, much appreciated.

Well I'm not online with my Xbox 360 so can't help you there I'm afraid.

However, I have now played a couple of friendly games and got a feel for the new gameplay and also sampled the new penalty kick system :)

Here's my thoughts:

First thing that hit me was obviously the graphics. I played a Champs Lg exhibition and it looked superb!! It just looks very slick now and really captures the atmosphere of a Champions League match well.

The gameplay is not gonna make you think that this is a major change from PES 2009 but there have def been improvements.

The ball physics are a lot more realistic: eg if you try and pass a ball while it's in the air it will bounce quite high before reaching the next player, making it tougher to control but more fun and random.

I only played my 2 matches on regular difficulty in order to get a feel for the game but I def noticed a big improvement in the Computer AI. They actually keep the ball really well now and you have to fight to get it off them. They also pass it a lot quicker so it's harder to judge and intercept the ball (Def a positive in my view).

The thing that also struck me is that player individuality seems to be back. :D

My second game was Man City (Me) vs Man U (Comp) and when Tevez, Wright Phillips and Adebayor got the ball it really felt and looked like them!! Really happy with that.

Now at first I felt like not much had changed from PES 2009 in other parts of the gameplay but I realised this was because I was playing the game like PES 2009: eg - trying to dribble past players all the time. I decided to change my tactics in the second half and went for a more passing game. This is what was a really nice surprise!! :)

It felt great to pass the ball around and try and keep hold of it. This is one area that I felt Fifa 09 was superior to PES 2009 but this year it feels great. The players moved into space and supported me and I created some lovely passing moves. So my advice to anyone who is feeling frustrated by the game is DON'T PLAY IT LIKE PES 2009!!! Try and play a bit more of a passing game to open the opposition up and I promise you you'll realise there have been big improvements.

Finally I tried out the penalty kicks and although I missed all 3 of my kicks I have to say it is a great system. It's far harder to score and so feels a lot more tense. My advice would be to watch the PES Fan tutorial and then practice.... a lot!!!

That's about as much as I can say right now but let me know if you've got any questions?

I'm off to play another game but I'll keep my PC on and can answer any questions in between matches.

There's a broadcasting 1 and a broadcasting 2 angle. Broadcasting 2 is similar to the great angle I saw in one of the vids but it's not as high up I'm afraid so you don't get the same angle :( It's also really hard to control your players from this angle as the camera is fixed on the halfway line and it just feels weird when the balls in either one of the penalty areas.

Try and find an independant store or just ask a member of staf from any shop face to face if they have it and they might say yes and show you it and then sell you it. Obviously Game will never sell games early but gamestation has to me and a couple of others here and there have. Smaller the store = better chance.

Awesome post dude got me well excited for the game! I agree people should be patient with this one and try playing different ways.

Cheers mate. Playing different ways with different teams is def the best way to go about the game. I played as Real Madrid last night and I used the wings a lot more because of Ronaldo. It's not as easy as last year but he is still deadly on the ball and can weave past players (as in real life).

However, when I was playing as Man City and had Gareth Barry on the ball I obviously couldn't do this. But the great thing was Barry, although not as fast, still felt really comfortable on the ball and was able to spray the ball about the pitch.

I guess what I'm trying to say is (in my 5 games so far) I could really feel player indivuality. So far I'm pretty impressed with the game. And I haven't even started my favourite mode yet - Masters League!! :D
