hi guys i want to download a patch file for my pes2012 .. but how can i know what version it is ... ?

i know ther is a number that indicate the area .. but cant find it .. and even if i did i dont know which number for which zone

can it (the game) be bought frm the psn? how much?

you have to look for the BLES or BLUS code on the SIDE of the game box. if it is a US version, it is most likely BLUS 30805 which you may find the OF patches @ http://winningelevenblog.com/blog/us-pes-2012-of-bles-30805/
if, however, it is an EU version, you may wanna check out http://www.pesgaming.com/forumdisplay.php?f=330
to find EU patches.
As for the free update DLC, all you need to do is to go to the extras section in the game and let it look for the content. Just make sure you have US PSN account for US game version and EU for EU.
