my max drive ps2 disk dosnt work

Try placing the PS2 on its side.

Or get one of those see-through circles that come with blank disks - one that is the same shape as a normal CD - and place it on top of the max drive disk.

I've got a Max drive and it doesnt read my software cd either?.. I go round to my bro's as his ps2 reads perfectly. I'm getting my ps2 fixed at xmas by my uncle as he repairs them for sony inhouse. I've tried placing mine on side but it still doesnt work.. what are those cd's Zyg? with blank disks see through circle thingies.. where can i get those? I havent tried them.. i have tried lens cleaning kit but it didnt work.

When you buy a pack of 50 or 100 CDs you get 2 of these circle thingies in the pack, one at each end to protect the CDs. Someone said they use one of these to make the max drive disk run better.

Cheers Zyg I'll give that a try.. I'm still gonna get my ps2 cleaned at xmas time.. i'll have to find something else to do for a week though as i havent got a spare ps2 :eek:hmy:

I need to get a ps2 disk...i do not have max drive, but i have a USB memory stick.

Obv, i need the mad drive software to use it on the ps2, BUT i dont have it. Is it possible to dload these files fromth enet, and burn them onto a cd??????? I have found a few examples on p2p, mostly .exe files.......HELP????

Thank you for your reply. Yes i realise this.I am in need of aps2 max drive disk!!!!..Is it possible to dload this file from anywhere? And if so, is it possible to put it onto cd in a format accepted by the ps2??? AS i have already dloaded a couple o f files.

And if it is not possible.....can i call up max drive and ask them to send me a disk??? If i pretend to be a customer???

As far as I know there is no way to backup the max drive ps2 disk so you will need an original.

I guess you can try but I don't think it would work. Just spend the £10, it's well worth it.

Thanks for your help Zygalski.... I dont have a chipped ps2 anyways, so i assume a cd-r wont work anyway. Guess ill just have to spend a tenner......unless anyone lives near kingston upon thames?????? with one...lol

heres a question for you lot, decided to get the pro evo 5 on xbox and not my ps2 is there any way that some of these files can be put onto my xbox which i aint got a clue at all where to start would be a great help

Yes. First you buy the xbox max drive. Then you head to the File Downloads section and download the latest xbox option file for PES5 and transfer it to your xbox. Then you play.

When i want to copy files to my maxdrive is says that it's protected against copying files on it, and i cannot format it either. What is wrong?

My PS2 disc doesn't work either?

There is a switch on the side of the max drive. Flick it.
