Hi Pro Evo players :)

Just wanted too write a post regarding my thoughts on the final release for xbox 360.

I purchased the game on night of release and first time i have bought a pro evo since ps2 days when i was a die hard player.

Firstly i think the graphics and presentation is excellent. It really surpasses what EA have done with fifa and by a long way may i add. The players look really life like , stadiums are really well done and realistic and menu's in game are well done i think.

The game itself is kind of confusing me. I loved the demo and was amazed at how well it played but the final release is confusing me because it just doesn't seem to run the same ? Am i going crazy or am i correct ? Thing's that are bothering me so far are firstly the passing which seems to be done at a drastic pace... when u pass it seems like it is being fired out of a cannon (confused) , same goes for clearances u can literally reach the other box from inside your own box lol (ok a bit exaggerated but not far off) and shooting also has insane amount of power for nearly all players apart from defenders. Im just baffled by the overall speed of the game in the final release...when i played demo i had it set too +2 and it seemed fine too me but now i have it on 0 and it still seems crazy fast and most confusingly of all slightly jerky at times... like the players move really weird ? The two other things are tackling which is insanely hard unless u slide tackle (i love the slide tackle) and also the way every time u do a ball over top or a pass with pace players never control it they just let it cannon off them which is driving me insane!!

Oh yeh i nearly forgot every game i have played online has 1 red bar and lots of lag which is also driving me insane ( played 9 games with mate who lived down the street and never had a game with more than 1 red bar) Is there something wrong with servers ?? Our connection's are fine and his ping is 41 and mine is 63 (used to be 45 but it has went too 63 over last 2 weeks and i dont know why) Im with AOL 8mb. I would just like some feedback cos been searching everywhere and have no idea why it is so laggy online.

Good things - Every goal is different (no same goal BS like fifa) , It feels like football , Computer is great this time instead of being dumb although the defending is highly questionable at times lol.

Free kicks are not easy which is good i aint scored one yet (never happened ever) , depth of game is marvelous , editing options are insane (love it).

Yep the game speed changed with the update, before update i had the for about 3 weeks and loved it, but update has put the game on super charge even on -2 speed. Loved -1 setting before update because everthing felt heavy from the ball to the animations, but now they all light as a feather. Also there is a judder in movement and the way the ball reacts. I find very strange that people have noticed this. Tried to undo update and try again but did'nt work

Hmm, seems like Konami are shitting us again. It's like they deliberately ruined the game so we'd be more eager for 2012. The Demo felt like a LOT better of a game with no glitches, no players getting in each other's way and the passing wasn't a mess. KONAMI!

You guys are making me nervous about getting PES 2011 on the 19th when it is released here in the US. I LOVED the demo, it made me a believer in PES again but I'll be really, really disappointed if the final version isn't the same. I hated last year's PES and I sincerely hope that this is a much better game. Should I be worried??

To be honest you should. I just replayed the demo and it felt so much smoother, the passes were perfect and you could do 1-2's etc. On the full game it's quite the opposite AND on top of that there are a lot of niggly little glitches and respond times are as bad if not worse than last years.

I can't really afford to buy both FIFA 11 and PES 2011. I was going to buy PES this year after two years of FIFA but I am reading entirely too many complaints from players here and in the Evo-Web forums. I'm slowly beginning to change my mind...

I bought both last year, and FIFA was slightly better for me. This year, I'd say they're about evens, FIFA 11 can be annoying at times but feels more complete. PES on the other hand can be REALLY annoying with the glitches but when you have a good game, it feels good. I dunno, maybe you should rent both and go from there?

That's not enough. ;) Not even REALLY ANNOYING is enough.
When Fifa 11 gets annoying, it can be game breaking and at times unbearable. You just have to quit and leave. The AI is just over the top.
Every team plays with high defensive lines and high pressure.
But anyway, I agree that it is more complete even though I still don't have pes 11. But fifa just feels complete.
Anyway, from my experience with fifa, it gets you straight in and hooks you in, but then it gets boring. This is the truth.
But pes is the other way round.
At first you say :shocking:. But then after a while, the game will become better and better.
Last year wasn't the case no matter what people say, PES 10 wasn't good enough to compete with fifa. But I believe this year, it will all come down to personal preference as both games have stupid glitches and both games see football differently.

OK I dont think he should be worried about the game, I personally think the full version is brilliant. The differences from this version to the demo are very very slight and all Konami have done is subtley fine-tuned the gameplay. Some matches can be a bit niggly but i think alot of that is down to tactics and formation settings more than anything and of course player conditions come into play. I have played matches that are very very smooth and i haven't a clue what you mean about "you can't do 1-2's". I, like you Bertgkamp was really worried as i had read people nitpicking at the final game and comparing it with the demo but the first game i played of the full version I couldnt stop smiling. It just so happens if you play a game too much you will start to notice annoyances, it's ineveitable, PES has its share of them but this game is far far better than last years and is definitely on even terms with FIFA, it is now merely a matter of preference as theyre both great games, I prefer PES as many others do this season.

Na, if by fine tune you mean wrecked it, then yes. I'm hoping they secretly fix these glitches in one the the future updates without telling us.

They hardly wrecked it. The only thing i would have liked them to have not touched is the referee, I would have preferred the strictness of challenges and regular fouling for abusing the pressure button, apart from that, it is mostly fine, the gamespeed feels very much the same to me on 0... Maybe you could go into more detail about what your on about...

I think I'm just going to go ahead and get it. If it's an improvement on last year and comparable to FIFA, that's good for me. To be honest, I'm reading as much praise as I am complaints. I've gotta agree with mal0n515, when you play a particular game a lot, you tend to notice all the little niggles. I'm sure I'm going to thrilled with it.

I would still get it pal, but i wished they left the game the way the demo played. Most of all the tackling system was spot on, it made you think about your timing and it took time to master. Because so many were use to the pressure button of just running into player they gave a foul every 10 seconds and did nothing but complain and the devs listened and changed it.

Now it back to hold presssure button and everybody bump into everybody. Still not has bad as Fifa's just fly in and get the ball back but Pes had it so right in demo and its such a shame tossers with no patience had to force their hand. Still a great game and the last three weeks have gave me some classic matches, which i have not been seen or played by me in such a long time over the last few years in both Fifa or Pes.

Ok I have been reading on this forum for ages without actually registering and I have to agree with the posters on here that the full game just isnt as good as the demo IMO of course!

Now the players dont respond the animations are worse and the shooting is pretty unrealistic when it comes to power

I was going to sell my game this morning but im going to give it one more try because my dad will go mental if I sell it and he finds out (as it was an early xmas present) last time that happened was when i sold our dog max for a 8th of skunk and I got in so much trouble

From online to game speed. Its not as good as demo. Oh yh, I've played 33 matches of which 27 have been played at night under shit nightime graphics. Wtf konami, what the fuck
