Get use to it, PES2008 is too easy, I won 4x0 on my very first game vs Man U and I was Villareal, playing on profesional

F**k me i need some practice then cos i'm not doing well on Top Player level, I've been Sunderland (with kenwyne Jones edited in myself), and my passes never seem to reach the player intended. I've only had time for a couple games, so the weekend is gonna give me a better look at the game. So far the response of the players (even when arsenal with decent players) seem to feel a fraction sluggish almost like playing online even tho i'm just against the machine.

just my opinion,

this game seems like a near copy of last year's game. of course, every year, the new version takes some getting used to in order to enjoy it. but, this really feels like last year's game. and, for me, last year's game was worse than that year's previous version. because i will play it so often, i will love it within 6 months from now. but, my first impression is negative.

you ever notice the difficulty lever of the keepers online? always set to easy.. its default and cannot be changed... gives noobs a chance (when they pick inter, braça, or brazil ) other than that, I rock fools... I'm ranked 25th on PSN... FutebolArte... Word!:coffee:

I took a chance and went to purchase PES2008 for PS3, I own the japanese version WE2008....the American version works better, no slow downs and the replays are good, the ref is not as stricked as the japanese version... its an improvment...its not a bad game... I actually like it

I want to confirm if Mauro Zarate is in this game?

He is currently playing for Birmingham City on loan from Al-Sadd of Qatar. He is one of the best argentines players of his age. His Argentine club was Velez Sarfield.

Could someone look for this player and confirm if he is in the game?

I order my copy of the game (NA version) but I have to wait two weeks to get it cause I'm at Panama.

One thing I noticed was the computer on Top Player scores on 90% of their free kicks no matter the distance. Team that up with the ref giving them a foul every other 5 minutes and it can get ugly. An example of something I am trying to get used to, is something like I have a free kick on the flank, and I am the ball not towards the keeper but more into the frey of bodies and even apply a curl away from the goalie. However I either hit the wall or it goes right to the keeper ( Mind you I wasn't even aiming close to him). This method worked wonders in 07, but I can't pull it off here.

i havent noticed that, can you describe what that means, i think goalkeepers are pretty good, they dont make so many foolish mistakes try to avoid the lag too, i played a friendly match and i scored like 5 goals but werent counted idk why and instead i was getting corner kicks, i actually saw them goin in lol

I think its easier to score free kicks

scoring free kicks is so easy, i think its a good thing cuz in pes2007 i never scored one online

I know its easier to score free kicks, however when I want to cross the ball into the middle from the flank (Not take a direct goal shot) when I hit the cross button it still manages to go right at the keeper, nowhere near where I was aiming. Why would you aim cross right at the keeper you know?

everyone may already know this, but in the button config, you can set different arrangments of crosses.

This allows using the L1 button whith [o] for all three auto crosses,(long, shirt, ground), and gives the ability while past the box to still long pass more precisely away from the goalie, and defenders.

I'm trying my hardest not to agree, but so far i'm not being left wanting to play just one more game before i put the controller down. I can take it or leave it and think the 2007 had better control over players. All the mess with the option files and finding out we're without around 95 players that the european PES had is just rubbing salt in the wound. why remove things if theres space on the disk. Why let us select a team from players of a specific league or nationality, if you can't even get the simple club and national teams that actually exist right!!

Waiting 5 months since the Euro version and for what !!
Please Konami, may i have a kick in the balls while your at it, inflicting this Sh*te on us over here.

I'm not gonna stop til i master it, but the next release maybe tried before bought. My loyalty to this game is finely balanced. Although i'd still rather play with thumbscrews that play fifa

I picked up the Wii version yesterday, and it's solid. I'm a big fan of the amount of control you have over your team using the remote and nunchuk. If you have a Wii, definitely give this version a go.

Only works with the US version, so no Euro<>US conversion.

I just ran into the weirdest bug. I was going after a 50/50 ball against the ai and we both got there at the same time. The ball kinda got stuck between us and the 2 players just froze. I tried my hardest to move but to no avail. The rest of the players were moving fine and the clock was still ticking. Lucky it was only 6min into the match so I just quit. Would really suck if I was down a goal in the 2nd half.

Also anyone run into slight lag offline? Roughly once a match the game just stalls for 1 second. Nothing major and it doesn't affect play at all but I've never run into these problems in any of the older games.

I broke 2 control pads, pressing on the d-pad so hard to get the players to respond better than they do.
