Name cursor above players!?

Is there any way to switch the name cursor above the computer players to just say <cpu> or just off? surely there must be a way??

I have already changed my cursor to <1> using the square button, but even after I do that the computer cursor still remains the same with names?

It's a small thing but I hate having the names above players, it's really annoying, esp when the player has a long name!

Other than that the game is amazing! The king is back!

don't remember where.
i find it kinda useful because i sometime don't distinguish players so the names help me to choose the correct player for each situation.

The names on screen ruins the game for me.

Some people might like it but they should give those who don't the option of turning it off.

As far as I'm concerned, you edit proper kits, face scans and correct squad numbers, plus the commentary, name-checks half the players. If you can't suss out who the player is after all that, without having his name written above his head, there's something wrong

the option was there when you first started off.
I think to get rid, you'll have to delete your system data and start afresh

During a game, Pause the game, go to the Select sides option, press X (probably square on PS3) go to the option 'cursor name' scroll across to make the value 'none'.

Its not a new feature, its been around since the ps2 days at least, Its just that this year its been defaulted.

Guys, super fucking apology here, I misread the question, the intructions i provide show you how to remove your OWN player names, not the computers.

A title update for PES 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC will be released for free on November 24, 2010.

The update will be automatically downloaded and adjusts the defender AI to allow for more consistent pressing from various situations and includes a series of alterations based on feedback from users.

The difficulty and success rate of Rainbow Flicks has been adjusted to improve gameplay, while throw-ins can now be passed back to the taker. Cursor switching has generally been improved including situations when the ball is crossed, while the way transfer fees are calculated in Master League has been reworked.

Names above CPU players can also now be switched off as they mimic player settings. Shooting has also been tweaked to produce more realistic reactions and results depending on real-time situations.

Some chants within the game have also been refined or changed, and PC owners using relatively low-spec machines will also be able to find matches more easily within the game's Legends mode.
