Need For Speed: Pro Street

I'd strongly advise against buying it.
If you've played previous Need For Speed's, as I have, you'll be in love with this series, and the prospect of NFS going HD-Next Gen is something worth salivating over.
But EA have dropped the ball BIG time.
In the new NFS: ProStreet, they've removed the free roam function, so now they've removed the police part of the game, which is actually a lot of fun. Sometimes I'd turn on my PS2, get a chase from the cops, and switch it back off again, coz that's all I wanted to do.
And I'd enjoy driving from where I was to the race destination and showing off my car + improving my car dodging abilities for in race.
But now that EA have removed the free-roam element of NFS, they've taken away the fun of cop chases and just driving about and enjoying yourself, now you go straight from race to race via the menu.
I was seriously disappointed by this, so much so that I'm not going to buy it anymore.
Edit: I don't have the game, but a mate of mine does and I was discussing this game with him. That's how I know it doesn't have free roam.
