^AT least a better build than our demo for sure ;)

Im hoping the demo is an early build. but even if its 70% i cant say the other 30% making a big difference. if they still had 300 animations to throw in back at gamescon then that would be a large chunk of the 30%. The animations generally arent that bad, its a certain improvement in that area, and if you hold RT as a defender you back off (as you always have) wheras in FIFA if you hold LT you seem to impersonate a monkey whilst backing off. (backing off whilst facing the ball i mean, good for slowing an attack until you get some help.)

also its not just the response, slow or close dribble isnt close at all, and now even when your not holding run fast they still kick the ball far away making it feel like you never have it under control.

The reviews give me some hope but i dont go by them anymore, not after Virtua Tennis 2009 received positive reviews and i sold it within a week to go back to Virtua Tennis 3.

I can understand both sides of this tbh.
My personal opinion is that nobody can fully judge a game like this (or Fifa) by playing a taster demo that only has a short exhibition mode available. I mean, both games have so much more to offer in their full releases dont they. Also it seems like Fifa have been a little ahead of PES in development this year so i believe thats why we have a Fifa demo thats core play seems pretty final and a PES demo that feels a bit buggy and unfinished. Unfortunately, at the end of the day a demo might not be the final build of any game but it will always have the power to sway you to a positive or negative outlook on the final game, and as it sits im not pre-ordering PES2010 as i want to be set straight on how the final build holds up in comparison to the demo before deciding on what to do, as ive heard of, and read too many lies from Konami in the past so the trust has faded bigtime. If this demo is in fact an earlier build it was a very stupid move by Konami to rush release a demo just because the Fifa demo is already out, as some of the same old niggles and now new niggles and bugs seem to be creeping outta the woodwork about parts of the PES2010 demo's core gameplay. Hopefully everything will be as it should be, and as Konami reps etc have hyped for the release but they've done themselves no favours at all by releasing a buggy demo..even if it does have some noticable improvements to show off.
