JUst can't wait for PES3 to arrive. MOre fun is expected as it will be in English. I have read a lot and kind of impressed with its new features more or less akin to WE7. What really worries me though are the misleading statements currently found on WE7. I saw an article on Soccer Gaming that PES3 will have more visible injuries inaddition to head bandages and strapped limbs. This is exactly what WE7 has said but having playing some 70 over games, I have not seen any and doubt whether it is actually in the game. I doubt whether we can find these gems in PES3 as both games are almost similar. I really hope that both PES/WE will be more sincere and responsible in their ads.

I've played loads and loads of matches in WE7. All I've seen is a bandage around the knee. Last night, I played about 5 matches on PES3 (6 in total so far) and Owen got a red cross injury and was stretchered away. It looked OK but nothing special. Now I'm into the world cup final and have to do it without Owen! Well... he got injured in the 3rd match so I've done OK without him anyway.

Great for you Zy,
I have not even seen a bandage, let alone the stretcher. So it looks like the new injury system is actually in the game. One of my wishlist was to see more realistic injury in the game. I would not mind if the system plays god and decides how long the player will be out due to injury. It will make the game even more realistic if there are various kind of injuries and varying degree of absence.
Say you are on a winning run, winning 5 or 6 games consecutively and suddenly injury strikes and you have to reshuffle the team. It is not easy. Ask Alex Ferguson(though I am no fan of his) he knows better, despite many of his key players were out due to injury at some time or another, he still manage win the Premiership through meticulous selection. This is what the game is all about, creating the winning eleven.

A few Qs for U, Zygalski...

Does it still say "loss time" when you go into stoppage time or does it say how much time the ref has added - I really hate that U don't get the exact stoppage time in PES2?

What kind of results are U getting when playing full 30 minute matches in PES3 - are they more realistic than in PES2 (7-7 draws, 10-1 wins etc.)?

Whenever possible I always play 30 minute matches (Master League is, of course, an exception) - it's closer to the real thing even though some aspects of the game are still far from being realistic (number of goals, shots on goal, match pace, player fatigue etc.) - but I hope PES3 will be a move in the right direction towards realistic real time 90 minute matches!

No, I think it provides longevity and something to achieve. Having said that, I wished that the Free Transfer option was a bit cheaper!! At 10,000 WEN it took a while!!!

I have only played 10 minute matches so far and the scores are much lower than in PES2. I'll try out a 30 min on soon and let you know.

I've already mentioned that PES3 does say "Stoppage Time" now - it looks good as it is in a smaller font. Still doesn't tell you how much the stoppage time will be though. But it does seem to last longer than in PES2.

World Cup Semi Final Extra Time.... 118th minute, England are 1-0 down to Portugal. Joe Cole free kick, curls into the top right corner - YES!!! And I won it on penalties. (Had Gerrard sent off after 15 minutes of the first half so not too bad).
Playing the final tonight V Holland.

I read somewhere that someone thought that all WE and PES games would use the 1-45 minute method for both halves and I disagreed with him. And I was right. PES games have the 45 to 90 mins too. I really prefer seeing it this way so I know I'm in the 70th or 85th minute etc. Much better for me.

The shop is a good idea and works well.

No worries mate.
To answer your question, Becks is out. Veron is still in. None of the new signings are in.

But it's hard to say as this isn't the final version so when it's released, it could be that they have updated all this.
I think they owe it to us to update all the squads up to the closure of the summer transfer window as it will take quite a bit of effort to earn the necessary currency to be able to make your own transfers.
