Most of them are too high IMO.

Carrick needs lowering to around 80.
Cleverly needs to be around 78.
Rooney needs to be down to round 85
Ferdinand needs to be around 82.
Rafale needs to be high 70's
Nani should be around 83
Valencia around 85.

If you still didn't notice in previous PES versions AI scripts often work for you. It doesn't matter human vs human or human vs CPU - scripting still works fine.

Yeah, that's how scripting often works in PES, made me mad many times in previous versions.

And when you press tackle button in either doesnt work or works with huge time delay. It's not bug, PES physics can't have such bugs. It's artificially controlled dynamic game balance system - or simply scripting.

I may be confusing this with FIFA, but didn't Konami say this new PES was more physics based ? which would mean less scripting.

i thought PES has been advertising more momentum based play by clubs - down by a goal, your side steps it up - which likely means more scripting

They always say so - every single year since the first release. But the thruth is that ISS Pro Evolution 98' is way less scripted than modern PES 12&13. I think PES 2014 would contain even more scripting than previous versions.
Scripting is not so bad, if you use it right. But PES 2013 main problem was that AI became really insane, game was completly unplayable at times. You need to find right balance between scripting and real-time physics, in this case due to scripts the game may become even more interesting.

It is Stat based, so shouldn't be any need for scripting. Basically , all it does is up the stats and morale of you player and/or team.

It looks very very similar to PES2013 to my eyes. Even the very high defensive line that lead to the through ball spamming exploit.
