No BALL SOUND please

The 'thud' sound for the kicking the ball is just plain annoying and stupid. There are hundred thousand people making noises in the stadium and you get to hear the kicking sound? How good is that?

Please remove the ball sound or atleast give us an option to turn it off. Don't club the ball sound with the other in-game sound effects. Give us a separate option for turning off ball sound ONLY. Cheers!

Don't agree with this at all. Yeah sometimes it does sound a bit of out of proportion but to say that you shouldn't have the sound of the ball being kicked is just not realistic. If you watch Champions League football you can usually hear the ball being kicked around the field, for quite a lot time during a match it can be really quiet and you can hear everything going on the pitch. Especially on Tv coverage. Why would they have pitch mics that pick the sound up otherwise! Keep it in but perhaps make it less prominant of a noise thats all.

Killing the sound of the ball completely is just not the right way about it, instead why not just make it sound like an actual football rather than someone beating a mat with a golf club. :)

I think that there should be a ball sound but in increased volume and only when the ball is close to the side line or close to the goal line. you dont hear a ball sound when somebody kicks the ball along the central area whether its a pass or shot. when you watch a football match you dont always hear a ball sound so i get ur point but removing it completely would not be the best choice. as i said keep the ball sound, decrease the volume and decrease the areas where you can hear the ball sound. e.g you dont hear a ball sound when xabi alonso plays a long pass forward to kuyt or you dont hear a ball sound when gerrard smashes the ball from 30yards out in a central area.

the thing i hate about the 'thud' noise, its the exact same volume dribbling with the ball and shooting.

if shooting was louder that would be better.

wahey....first post!:D

does it matter? i'd happily accept the ball sounding like birds singing, if it means they spend their time fixing the gameplay

I think that just sorting out where on the pitch and how loud the ball sound is. I mean if the stadium is empty then you would hear things more clearly or in training you would hear it very clearly but just make it apropriate in the match.
