No Edit Mode. The Reason Why

I'm getting fed-up of reading those people who say the gameplay is what counts. Yes it is, but the longevity comes from being able to edit teams, names, players etc and buying new players in the Master League and moulding them to look as you want, wear what boots you want.

I think they've gone and undone all the hard-work of the past few years by releasing it with an edit mode which was bested by ISS Pro Evolution ffs.

Mine is being traded for the PS2 version, which doesn't look a whole lot worse either.

I've taken pics of PES5 on my PS2 and this new heap of rubbish and it really isn't the sort of leap I expect from a £300 console and £800 telly.

Very rushed indeed...why did they just put the date back for the game to release so they could finish it..the lazy konami tossors

Because by the time they had fixed it, it would have almost certainly been a pointless release. Not forgetting it would have delayed all future games.

U obviously dont know what ur on about...how would it delay future games?? at least they could of done is to make changes and but the date for the game back a date and then at least there might of been alot more happy faces round here.

Ten people working on a game. Take 5 people off that to work on doing improving a near release game. Now 5 workers have to do ten workers job in time to get the new game out on time. Not possible, getting in new creators..takes time...delays year on year. Don't know what I'm talking about eh?

I'd rather they launched it next year when they had time to implement what made PES 5 the game it was, than rip-off cosnumers with half a product.

How the fuck am I talking bullshit lad?

Maybe they haven't lived up to all expectations, Over-hyped mean anything to you? They've still made a footie game a damn sight better than you ever will. So you're hardly in a place to criticize.

Yeah a very poor football game something that the likes of FIFA (EA) will take advantage of now

i dont want to see FIFA do the better of pro evo coz i hate EA..For example if anyone has played Burnout revenge or Fifa world cup online for the 360 you will know exactly what im talking about...plus the gameplay is **** but all im saying is maybe Konami could of done the right thing in taking there time creating this game as there is going to be alot of angry pro evo fans out there including me.

And of course us 360 owners will have to pay about 20 quid more than the superior PS2 version.

Unless of course you know where to get it on the cheap like me :)

Ok guys,

I work in marketing. One of the most important aspects of marketing such a huge product to so many platforms is try to make everyone happy but see if you can get one person to buy for more than one platform. For example the PC version is the PS2 version converted, but its a higher resolution so die hard fans will want that too. But most people who can afford a 360 already have a PC and will most likely buy that version for its extras if they cant get them in the 360 version. But then the PC is not wide screen, for the same reason, as some people want to experience the game on a big screen with full wide mode, they will buy the 360. TO have it all you will have to have both versions, which some people like myself whom are die hard fans will buy.

BUT there is one more great reason. The people whom have 360 for more than 12 months, may well buy a PS3 come more than a year later when it is finally released in comparson to the 360 release. And if PES6 on PS3 has everything and wide mode and features of next-gen then maybe, just maybe the same customer will once again buy the game just to complete it all on the same platform. ANd all the time I hear KACHING KACHING KACHING of the registers at electronic boutique. So the reasons are well known to a company as big as KONAMI. And even to some of us but we have no choice to buy into it, because lets face it, everyone here on this board is ADDICTED to this game :w00t

i have it on good authority from someone in the game industry,
that konami were forced to drop the edit mode because of copyright laws.
seems including the edit mode left konami open to copyright infringments, one of them being option file downloads being available online for download.
so yes we are all to blame for the edit mode being removed, if we had all just been satisfied with editing the game ourselves, the edit mode would still be in there.
however because theres so many lazy gits out there me included, who expected others to do the work and make it available too all to download, its messed it up for all of us.
My real concern over this is the pes series will never be the same again, unless konami get the licencing, which looks like it aint ever gonna happen.

Probably will be, if there's one for the PS2, and like I already replied, you can't stop the power of the coders ( Juce for example ) playerserver? besides, I noticed that with kitserver, the hair and faces automatically stick players in that weren't there and put them in the right places, nobody knew of Hilario, now he's on my chelsea team after sticking a bin file in my hairs and faces folder with all the attributes.
