he started on the bench in the youth championship..and barcelona had filled their quota of non-EU players before they signed him for 150million euros
but this kid is an instant phenom..way better at 18 than most players will ever be
I think he belongs up there with the star young players like tevez, rooney, c.ronaldo, cesc fabregas, etc
but the stats in the game and his development curve make him average at best at age 25 and it's all downhill from there
in we9 you can change his developmental pattern to precocious..but you still have to build him up for 2 or 3 years before he's any good
I refrain from editing stats myself because it's a slippery slope
anybody that's seen him in the u20 youth championship, and in his two starts on the barcelona senior team care to update some of his stats?

yeah, he definitely needs a season under his belt to be considered a star
he just got spanish citizenship yesterday, so from now on he'll be playing a lot more I'm sure

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but if anyone saw the game between Barça and Osasuna will agree with me that Messi is the only youngster that will live up to the calification of the new maraddona. This kid is totally awesome. Rooney? Lol.

if you haven't the 12 minutes then skip to 4:25 and 6:09..he's a left footed cruijff if you ask me
there will never be another maradona..but if this kid has the personality to go along with the talent and can avoid serious injuries, he can assure his place among the greats in the coming years

back to the point of this thread..is anybody up for updating his stats
