Official PES 2009 Demo Feedback

More comments about demo. This time after 10-15 games.
Keepers seem to keep their level pretty well. Mistakes from time to time but that is only realistic. Really like the improvements on that section (just some improving on crosses needed).
Dribbling tweaks seems good. Never liked the dribbling speed on (not edited) 08 version. Now back to older pes style where defenders are slightly faster than attacker with the ball (at least when not some really skilled player like Ronaldo or Robinho). Pulled some nice tricks with keyboard, so roulette is now doable again for me (useful? maybe not
)
Passing is better though it looks less realistic. Long passes now seem to have target more often than in 08, no more passes that go over the sideline so often.
Ball is lighter for sure. It feels weird when used to old versions, but I cant say it is not realistic or bad. Seems to work quite well.
Problems:
Yes, game isn't perfect. The worst thing I have discovered is referee. So many brilliant sliding tackles have end up for getting card or even penalty shot for opponents. I dont think Konami managed to copy that from Rob Styles... Really needs some improvements. It doesn't stop you from playing but may test your nerves from time to time.
Then other problem, pretty suprising, is lack of ability to control goalkeeper. Even when keeper saves to ball and holds it, you dont get control over him. Nor you get control when you pass him (at least with not assisted player switch). No keeper control option in control settings anymore either. I hope there is change or option for this in full game, I dont trust AI that much.
P.S. As much as I hate the C. "Holy Diver" Ronaldo, his shot animations for both penalties and freekicks look damn realistic

Good point there. I couldn't get into the FIFA demo at all so here's to PES2009.

wow. Played about 10 different matches. Its in no way perfect but its far better than i expected and im definitely buying the full game.
You get a great feeling when you manage to link up players and get a good shot on target. Dribbling past defenders is a challenge but it fun.
Goal keepers are better but still not great. Some of the same animations from 08 that still kinda suck..
And the referee still loves handing out cards. Pain in the ass but its fair better than 08 where nearly every slide tackle resulted in a yellow.
Personally cant wait for the full game. But i think that some people will hate it, others will love it.

I hate FIFA, I only download it,as Ive said before, to play the loading screen. I suppose, I try to play Pro on FIFA. If you know what I mean?

Yup I'm totally like you, amigo. I try to play FIFA like I play pro and it just doesn't work. I got bored of FIFA quick. . Meh, one football game is more then enough for me.

Yea same here...i think the problem is people are playing the game with different specs, so will probably play and look different on certain pc's.
