no am not an idiot in your option there amazing my line up would be Carvalho Carragher Cole Brown and by the way Liverpool are not crap we have one of the best defences in Europe
Confirmed: You are a idiot.

How can you say Cole is the best defensive line when he is NOTHING compared to when he was at Arsenal? That just tells me millions about you.

as you can tell im a madrid fan, that my team, and i can tell you that the defense is bomb on paper but the shit they do to casillas is criminal...theres a reason why lower teams only try to force corners on us...for some reason the 4 sick players dont talk to eachother...its getting better but still its tough....it pains me to say it but the best d line in europe right now is probably chelsea

Another idiot; Lower teams try to force corners on Madrid? Thats because lower teams in Spain fucking suck (the whole league sucks but oh well) and can't do anything except hit Ramos/Heinze and get a corner out of it.

I would probably agree, Carvalho and john terry are a wall, but... Man united have the best defender in the world in rio, and vidic plays solid alongside him, evra is the best left back in the prem. In need of a solid right back though as Brown isn't great at the moment and G Neville is over the hill... plus the new cafu and roberto carlos (the Da Silva twins) to be the future right and left backs.
Im taking about lines; Not defenders by themselves and yes I agree John Terry is one of the best defenders.

First post, But not a PESnoob by any means.

Loving the game so far, First time I have played PES on a PC but Im too impatient to wait for PSN download.

First Impressions after 7,8 games....
* Loving the speed of the game, Very realistic compared to 2008
* Weight of the ball is fantastic, Iv had very little luck with shots from long range but the way the ball travels when you hit it well is very pleasing
* Graphics, Wow looks great. In replays its just incredible watching the facial expressions and watching the players move
* Player movement, As someone stated before I'm not looking at the radar as much because my players are where I want them to be. Torres makes some very menacing runs on the edge of the box
*Sound is good, Chants get very repetitive I hope this is only due to the fact its a demo if not we have the import chant feature anyhow
* Goalkeepers spilling the ball for easy tap ins isnt as bad as last year but still a problem, I have also seen some ripper saves especially denying my rare long range shots on target.
* Refs.....Hmm I have had some penalties paid that were just perfect tackles. Sometimes its not a problem but every now and then randomly the ref makes a shockin decision, Happens in general play aswell. Weather this is realistic or not Im not sure Ill have to play a few more games.

Anyway loving it so far, Had a go as 1 fixed player for a game and had 3 good chances where I should of scored but Im still getting used to the camera angle. Which angle is everyone playing as a single player on? Im using the vertical one which works well but as I said takes some getting used to. Also is there a button to call for the ball?

Cheers all, Happy gaming!

I'm so glad body balance is no longer that much of an issue.

I couldn't believe it when I constantly stopped Vieira (the same Vieira who used to drive through all my players on PES 2008) with Pirlo.

Now when picking players for fantasy leagues and my ML side I wont have
to worry about the player's balance. I can actually focus on proper stats such
as passing, dribbling and pace.

I guess this means Arsenal can now be satisfying to use since balance is not that much of an issue.

this dude is nuts...just talking shit, doesnt even say anything himself...if you think the spanish league sucks (im sure you think the premier is above and beyond anything) look at newly promoted numancia for example, they beat barca and scored 3 against madrid (2 of which were defensive fuckups by madrid which is why i posted)...what about the lower teams and how they fare in the uefa cup (a tournement for smaller teams? if i remember 2007 was an all spanish final and a great game if anyone watched...the year before sevilla crushed middlesbrough...so much for the lower teams in spain sucking ...for all the doubters the last time an english team won the uefa it was 2001...( i know sevilla is a mid level team but im sure they could beat any english team out of the top 4, oh and they beat arsenal last year in champions league)

Is it just me or does it feel like the AI, even on the top level, seems to be playing really bad? I mean they cannot create any chances at my end. They might have 1-2 good scoring chances throughout the game, and I'm not playing a defencive game by any means. I would expect the game to be a little more difficult on the top level settings. On professional I was able to win 2 out of 3 games, the score was 1-0 in both. Out of like 6-7 games I've played I either won 1-0 or it was 0-0. I hope they fix it, so the AI plays a little better offencively.

I have a feeling this game will divide people as much as 2008 did, some will love it, some will hate it, i think its great thus far, just takes some getting used to.

1st PES game I bought was PES4.. I did Not liked it that much at the beginning -but- then it kept getting better and better.

I hope I get a similar experience with PES09.. even more so Considering FIFA is not an option for me.

I'm going to buy both, since I feel both have their strength's and weaknesses...but my money is by far on PES09 to come out on top! Bottom line, PES is fun! Fifa ain't.

I would buy both of them if it was worth it.. But truth is, I just get bored when I play FIFA.

That is actually the biggest problem FIFA has. I tried my utter best with FIFA08 after PES08 dissapointed me, but have never played beyond the 10th game in the manager mode of Fifa, I just get bored to death. All the goals is the same, and there is absolutely no thrill in scoring when playing fifa!

Same here. I tried to like it but it seemed like a chore.
Licenses have never been a issue with me especially since I started with ISS.
I'm all about the fun and Pro normally provides it for me.

Agreed, it does seem like a chore to play Fifa! I cannot remember one single time a screamed/cried out/cheered/got excited when playing fifa, the game just doesn't bring out your emotions! While playing PES on the other hand, fuck, the game gets me cheering and swearing etc.

Every Goal feels the same, every player feels the same.. Every FIFA game Plays the same.

Seriously, I do not see where the so-called "Improvements" come from.. the FACT that PES08 was shite doesn't makes FIFA any better.

totally agree with you dude, the sad thing is, the title as Console Football king (or whatever) is PES's to lose, not FIFA's to win. Fifa have shown time and time again that they will never be able to take the title from PES, only if Konami really screws up PES, but hopefully that won't happen. The general feedback of the PC demo is quite positive, and I can't wait to hear everybody's thoughts on the console versions!

Agreed.. I also tried to like it -but- the game simply Lacks Depth.

I also think the Gameplay is the most important aspect of the game -but- was pretty pissed after PES08 screwed the Editing Mode.

Anyways, would like to see more Positive reviews -because- playing PES6 for yet another year isn't what I had in mind.

Played the Demo yet??
