Official PES 2009 Demo Feedback

Kind of dissapointing, I dunno. Maybe it'll take getting used to.

To be honest i believe the majority of people who are having doubts is because they are not used to the new controls of the game.

Its like PES 2008 with all the kinks in the gameplay ironed out. PES is fun again. Definately a purchase for me. Still last gen in appearance though.

You can play with other players on the same machine just not online..i played against my mate and it seems better multiplayer than single, its also quite fun playing on the same side!

Well, its definately a big improvement over 08. Downloaded in 1 hour too which was nice.

The graphics are lush, and having played the FIFA demo, i'd say PES' style of graphics are more appealing to me, everything looks clean and crisp, and we already know PES' faces are much better overall.

Gameplay is good, I like it, not great though. It does seem a little too slow and unresponsive however I much prefer it to PES 08's arcadey gameplay. Its something that needs getting used to. Scoring a goal provided me much more joy than in the FIFA demo as well.

PES feels like home and I think this game will do me for the year. Still, Konami need to sort their act out, the 'current gen' is now in full swing, and there is no reason for them to be playing it safe when they now have the consoles and the knowledge to take PES into the next generation. I say next, because, PES is still lacking considering the options Konami have available.

Yeah thats true. It wont bother me too much though. Thats the best thing I liked about the FIFA demo. Headers looked very realistic and so did many other animations.

Yeah, definitely. I want to get my hands on the legend modes too. I still like Winning Eleven 9's gameplay better than what the demo offered me though.

downloaded the demo there on ps3...graphics big improvement. Played a liverpool v Man Utd match, ended 0-0 with 2 missed Ronaldo penalties! Goals are harder to come by, big change from the goal fests in pes 2008, thus makes it more rewarding when a goal arrives. PES IS BACK! Enjoy that it is slowed down and the passing is better! Good Improvement and reminds me of pes of old, look forward to the full game now, think i will play pes 08 fr the next two weeks just to get the most out of perhaps the most disappointing pes....roll on the 17th OCT!!!!!

Some of the animations when players get tackled are ridiculous.

I had Fletcher stood still, Gerrard comes and tackles me and Fletcher goes FLYING, like he'd been running at full pace.

get over it! its much better than 08! great improvement........Appreciate PES for what it is!

ya agreed... I actually lost the first game... granted it was from a PK the CPu controlled player gave away... but as the french say, thats the life...

Konami are SO GOD DAMN LAZY AND IGNORANT

pes 2009 is just a tweaked version of 2008, its slightly quicker the graphics are better and I would imagine the online lag has been sorted.

but player animations are the same, the dynamics are the same i.e shooting hasnt changed a bit, still soft and pathetic, passing is the same, rooney, eto ronaldo are unstoppable technical players are bypassed. movement A.I is awful

and player stats identical apparently fernando torres hasnt improved a bit in one year, shot accuracy 87 ehh wrong he is without a doubt the best finisher in the world (and im a Man U fan) technique 79 to put that in perspective robbie keanes is 90...

so im guessing it will be villa and adriano up front for most ppls master league squads again.

i dont hate it but i dont notice enough of a difference for me to part with £40.

hate fifa sooooo stick with pes 06 with my mates i guess
