Agreed.. They should have used the Right Stick for something more "Useful".
Maybe for Body Feints or something like that -or- for more Advanced Dribbling moves. Anything would be better than the Manual Pass.

I just wish they would go back to the days with decent refs.
what has happened to the ref playing on, then coming back to book the player once the ball has gone out of play?
what has happened to players getting bandaged up when they get injured?
Why does the ref have to look the same in every match, appearance wise?
TOO many bookings for stupid shit, that really does make me shout at the TV. (just like real life really)
Still a great game, but they need to bring backsome features that were around during pes5/6 days.

I agree. I really enjoy the demo too and if it's true the final build is even better then that is great.

When i first played it on the pc i was really impressed. The pitch looks so lush (if that is the right word), graphically i thought wow what a difference from 08. I changed the resolution to 1400x900 and it's great, although saying that i was getting screen tearing from that point. To answer your question on my pc it was great. I do have a 6600 quad core and 8800 gt graphics card.
Probably because it's just a demo. Same reason there's only one stadium, no commentary, 6 teams, etc.
Yankee here, made a UK PSN account to download the demo. Never played 2008, been playing 2007 (My first WE/PES game) since it came out.
I've only played two games on top player. Definitely the ball sound needs to be muffled, don't know what's up with this whole hollow thud sound. The running animation looked awkward to me at first, but I got used to it by the second game. The chanting got real annoying, but let's hope they just had them do it the whole time to show it off in the demo. Graphically, to me, it looks like a cleaner version of a PS2 game. I think FIFA gets the nod in the graphics department (even if player likenesses aren't so hot). Ref also seems to be a bit quick to call fouls and give cards.
That being said, I think the defenses are much better. It's not easy to just dribble by someone. Goalies seem a little stupid/timid compared to 2007, but after two games it's too hard for me to evaluate them. Player movement off the ball is eh.
All in all, I liked the game and will definitely be picking it up. I don't know if any changes are going to be made, even to the sound of the ball. Doesn't the game come out in two weeks? Seems to me like it should be going gold right about now, if it hasn't already.
I'd really like to see them get a new graphics engine. While the game doesn't look bad, it certainly looks dated.

Do the ol' pause go to main menu trick. Do it when it hits injury time in the second half.
I've forgotten plenty of times when I'm really into the game, especially when playing with mates. God, we have lol'd at that happening.
