Oh Konami, what have you done!?

This game is just plain awful!
How could Konami screw up the greatest football game on earth so badly? Pro Evo 4 was perfect - all they had to do was put in more teams, refine the Master League, and add online gameplay.
Instead, they've gone and turned it into real football, and that is what makes it so bad.

1/ Having free kicks every nano second may be realistic, but it's not fun. Games are MEANT to be fun!

2/ Free kick taking is impossible unless your sole aim is to give possession to the other player.

3/ No matter how much you press R2, every single player takes at least half hour to bring the ball under control when they receive it.

4/ It's now actually impossible to sprint away from any player. No way should Dennis Bergkamp be able to keep up with Roberto Carlos. That's just ridiculous.

5/ It's way too difficult to defend and cut off supply lines because the AI is so bad that the players run around like headless chickens. I mean, if I can see a winger running behind the defence the bloody wing back should go with him! It's not rocket science is it!!!!!

6/ There should be no need for super cancel. Just give us control of the player we're controlling in the first place instead of having him run in a scripted line. THIS IS MEANT TO BE FUN...

7/ Penalties... oh dear!! I know it's a lottery but come on! I press the button only and sometimes the ball just balloons over the bar. I mean... HOW EXACTLY!!?

8/ Why is it that if you shoot with half the bar filled it'll trickle harmlessly to the keeper sometimes, and others it'll rocket through the air at high speed!?? How are you supposed to judge it then?????

9/ Oh dear god, why does the game sometimes not play a crucial pass when I've pressed the button, yet when I've pressed X accidently it'll happily knock the ball into touch EVERY DAMN TIME!!!

10/ If I wanted to take part in a stop-start, no shooting scrappy game of football I'd join a Sunday League thanks!

11/ This is supposed to be football by the way, not pinball everytime you touch the god-forsaken ball.


Arrrggghhhh, this game is sooooo bad, I want my £30 back.

You shouldn't give up on it, PES5 rewards practice. I agreed with some of your points when I first played it but as I've got used to the changes I've got better making it a much better experience.

Also, PES5 is 10 times better when playing a human opponent rather than the cpu slowing the game down with predictable play.

Anyway that's just MY opinion, to me PES5 is so much better than 4.

i dont think the games that bad! its quality, just some things they messed up. for example the through balls have gone from being super effective always getting you chance to now just a bit useless.

I know but when this game was first released all that was said was this game is shit I can't play it it's not pro evo 4 and on and on I guess i'm just sick of people talking shit because they can't be assed to give the game a chance.but angry outbursts is not the way I must control my self.

Im good at it, i just think its got some issues, most of which people put in there lists, and if that means they dont like it then its fair enough really isnt it.

I'm rather good at it, but each of my 11 points still stand.

Yes, because it's so close to real football, that DOES make it rather a step back from Pro Evo 4.
Look at the Premiership... there's a foul called everytime a player even looks at another. Stop-start stop-start. It's realistic, but it's no fun, it's not entertainment. Pro Evo 4 didn't have these faults and was therefore a better game.

The ball pinballs all over the place whenever 2 players are involved in challenges. Pro Evo 4 didn't have it this bad and was therefore a better game.

If you don't use super cancel then you won't win. Period! Pro Evo 4 didn't need you to rely on super cancel - the players ran where they were supposed to and was therefore a better game.

Are you seeing a pattern here!!?????
