i think he does have some good points there, as he may of gone over the top on all of them, he still has made a point that we are still playing a game here and to tell you the truth yes i like realism but don't you think gettin to close to realism in a football sim isn't the best way to go watch a game on a saturday how many fouls are there nowadayz lol,
i really do think they need to sort out the ref, i'm good 6* i play and i dont cause that many fouls but i really do feel that when your running down the wing or frew the middle or holding the ball up and they come over more times than not your on the floor with a freekick,
i used to just slide tackle them from behind for fun cos i knew you dont get red cards, the only way i've managed to get a red off the ref is wen its the last defender and the attackers frew on goal and i slide him.
it does take a lil bit of the fun away that pro 4 did have and adds more fustration,
see i aint sayin the ref is bad on my part wen i slide cos i can easily go through a game where i don't cause one foul but get about 10fouls from the cpu, i do agree
also with the way that a crappy defender can catch the likes of henry or ronaldinho and ronaldo which to me isn't right, but i do wanna say that it isn't impossible to sprint away from a player tho i was more saying how a crappy defender can catch them up, its all to do with timing but you do see it happen perfectly he gets the ball he running and omg the crappy defender who speed is nout compared to ronaldinho is nearly on the back of him lol.
yea another one penalties defo the worsed set up in the world everyone has got to agree with that if you dont then what you playing, there just doesn't seem to be any method to it and more luck, see if i was taking a penalty at least i would know exactly where i was gonna kick, they should but a power bar or somet there and making a better penalty.
now super cancel i still don't use, it's just how you play i guess and sorry to say to him that super cancel has been there frew every single pro game there is.
ok with the controling the ball even proper players have problems controling the ball everytime and its how you play what determines if its a good control or not.
i find freekicks defo better than last year, way easier to get a good shot on goal.
with the players moving its abit of a debate 50/50 i believe sometimes they move amazingly like real life then others at times they move a little to slow, an example had ashley coal going down the field have you have noticed that the only way you can turn round is by turning into the pitch while heres running down the line with a defender on him why cant he turn the other way so it doesn't hit the player to go out for a throwing.

is pro evo 5 better than pro evo 4 well that like saying is gran turismo better than halo, its a totally different ball game. you have pro evo 4 very addictive easy to pick up and play abit more arcadey if i may so (after playin pes5) and then you have pro evo 5 a more strategy based football game thats how i see it, you have to think football, think whats gonna happen next how am i gonna get up that pitch how am i gonna fool them. you cannot compare the 2 games to one another because it is a different game.
now i mite get told i totally wrong but nah i reacon your'll agree and i aint bad at either i play 6* and still have a good run, and i do love this game its just the minor details what need sorting out for the next game.

It's like saying is Gran Turismo better than Halo comparing Pro Evo 4 and 5 is it? Emm no, no it's not since they are both football games from the same bloody series! I don't mind people moaning about the things which are wrong with the game, but I like the realism and I don't want something along the lines of Konami listening to dickheads who don't like a challenge and then changing the game to make it easier for said dickheads as a result of all this whinging to happen. Thats all. And who wouldn't agree that the series has to progress, rather than suiting a vociferous minority(everyone else is away playing the game to death and content, not on here moaning)?

i just got it yesterday (i wish i could be playin now but other things are holding me back)
but the sprinting thing has really been bothering me
henry early in the game couldnt sprint past a defender for some really shit dutch team and then against pes united, i lost against pes united after dominating (5*), wtf
the first touch is really annoying because it does seem to take forever to control it
passing is great though
i think the dribbling is pretty crap, henry and ronaldinhos dribbling is a bit weak
i hate when you move to the side it sidesteps instead of turns like in pes4, i used that so much in pes4 to great effect but in this one makes me give the ball away in this one
free kicks are pretty good i thought, the lay off free kick is cracking for me, defending hasnt been too bad and i scored a 45 yarder with bergkamp so i dont think theirs much wrong with the shooting
i done the basic training (i try to complete everything in the game) and the drive shot is brilliant and im gonna try and get some done in matches

It isn't perfect by any means but I believe it is the best PES so far and it is definitely heading in the right direction after all!

Another thing is I have never understood those that say they have a problem with the pace of fast players.
If I use the supersprint almost always I will be able to beat slow players in sprinting with players like say Henry or Ronaldinho.
Guys that say they can't get away from slow players must be doing something wrong...
I agree that pro 4 was better than pro 5, we 8 better than 9 as well. I don't really believe that is more realistic... I believe that the game has many bugs. I think that is not for playing with cpu because it has big handicap... That is my opinion. Some tells me that fifa 06 is better than pes5. I can't tell because I didn't play...

Oh and this game is meant to be a simulation, like all sports games. If you don't want a simulation, play EA Big Sports games and Midway Sports games.
2. Right, its hard since it is much easier than it was in PES4.
3. You need to learn how to use the joystick properly. You don't even really need to press R2. Let me help you here.
So say you pass to the right, Don't sit there and hold up before the ball reaches the player, it will only hurt. Instead press up the nanosecond the ball reaches his foot and he will receive it well. Then press pass to the guy on the top, wait until the ball reaches his foot to run right, or yes it may take him a second to gain control. Simply put, you are holding the direction you want him to move before you really should.
4. I don't see this problem very much, I have no problem out-pacing people with very fast players. Also, don't forget that while dribbling, most of all players can't run at the same speed that they would without the ball.
5. I notice this problem, because people forget that they keep hitting the switch players button, which makes your players dumbfounded for a second. Its only your fault.
6. Why are you bitching about something that has been present in the games for a long time now? Also, I play very well and barely use this, maybe once or twice a game at the most.
7. Players make mistakes, wouldnt the game really suck if the players never messed up, ala EA Sports FIFA
8. Um, you have to judge it by more than just the power bar. Location of the ball and the players foot comes into play. Balance also comes into play. The way the ball is moving comes into play. There are many factors that come into play while shooting. Have you ever kicked a ball? Even if you think you kicked it with the same strength, does it always travel the exact same way?
9. Wow maybe the only thing I can nano-agree with. Then again, it is all relative to the players foot position and the ball. Yes, sometimes the pass button is touchy, but only when their foot is in the right location to make a pass effortlessly (aka barely touching the pass button).
10. No, you would join the Sunday League because you don't know how to play football. The same reason why your games in PES5 resemble a Sunday League match.
11. I thought it made you mad that the game was like real football? Why on Earth would you complain about something you don't find real about the game?

using r1 sprint i get past defenders sometimes, mostly when i was running from a distance, i scored a belter with henry on 6* (first thing to buy always) but just the first touch is annoying and the dribbling a little but its so much harder and more challenging, you wouldnt believe how happy i was to beat holland 3 - 1 in a world cup qf and the final made me die
2 - 0 up at ht and dominating
85 mins, 3-2 down and i still dominated then wiltods injury tim header made it 3 - 3, i lost 4 - 3 in extra time but i had all the play, this game is special though
