Online attitude?

I don't know about you fellas but I find some of the people I play against online to be rude twats. Even before a game has started they write things like "Mumpleaser sucks ass" or "Mumpleaser bullshit" (great use of the English language that one!) and I just can't understand it.

Why the attitude? It may be because I am 30+ but it pisses me off a treat. I usually reply with "ha ha, good luck, play well" or similar but it doesn't change the fact that people are just plain rude because they can hide behind a persona on the net.

Anyone else run into any rude w¤%&#rs at all?:(

That's the reason I never used the headset for PES4 online. And I usually only played people from the forums as they behave decently.

Sounds like this new method of communication is just used to abuse people. Hmmmmm. Makes me not want to bother going online with PES5.

I thought there would have been some sort of control put on it. I dont mind having the p!ss taken when I let a crap goal in, when I score I flash a message saying that it was too easy to score. Bit of friendly banter and all that.

But last night some dude I played kept saying 'Youre a twat', 'youre a w@nker' etc.

Whats the point? I might load some of them for when i play my mates but I would never use that sort of language towards anyone else I dont know.

By the way, I am a 29 year old guy, who plays in a tough football league each weekend. so i know all about swearing on the pitch! this is just different if you ask me.

It is easy as pie - even i managed. Load up Pro Evo, select the online/connect option at the bottom of the mode select page and off you go. You have to register a user name and password and that is it....

I haven't had too many bothers online, but it was funny, there was a guy called "LAGFEST" claiming to be the best in the room, pissing off everyone saying that we where all crap and he could beat all of us, but we checked his profile and he only had 2 wins, 2 draws, 5 loss.

Also, I've not tried it but you can block players that piss you off.

Most people have like 12 years old so it's the only way they can challenge you as they don't have their full brain available yet ;)

Anyway, I'm 32 and I'm also a bit tired of those attitudes. There should be a sort of evaluation after the game (like in ebay) where you can see the bad vs good player. I heard that you can still red flag some people that won't appear in the opponent list anymore but I haven't check that yet.

Can't believe there are so many over 30s playing. I'm one too. Go under the name of GDR online.

Your username doesn't help to be honest...

What's the name got to do with it? I mean, I wouldn't start slagging you off before a game because your name is Elton John, why would I? It's just unnecessary.

Should be on about 21:00 CET, which is 20:00 GMT. Would be nice to play against some fellow Insighters! :)

All well and good but it does grate after a while. I just block anyone who takes it too far. It really isn't that funny unless you personally know the person you are playing. Hopefully I'll get round to playing some of you other pes 'veterans' soon enough if I can get logged on at a decent hour (usually midnight due to my work hours). lookout for familymahone.

Great!
Are all the "old" fellas coming out of the closet suddenly?
I'm so relieved to realize that i'm not alone in this age category...
I'm 29 and I've seen some childish behaviour by some 12 years old punks, that deserves a little attitude lessons at home.
Mostly, their behaviour online=real life.
Nothing we can do about it.

i totally agree with you guys...
I've also noticed that most of the "rude" players i've met, come from a certain country which i'll not name...

That's the way it is online when people feel safe behind their persona. I'm sick of it as well, but unfortunately this isn't exclusive to PES5 online, it's all over the web - there are lots of youngsters online. It's annoying, but what can you do. Good to see though that there are so many oldies here playing this fantastic game :) I'm 28 myself.

Does it really bother you guys that much?
I know it can be annoying im only 22 myself but i wouldn't go round calling my opponents names. With friends though theres nothing wrong with a little banter;)

It's not that it bothers me that outrageously, but after having been online for a couple of years it gets discouraging getting that attitude wherever you go online. Online, you see the worst side of mankind, all the pent up hate and anger that gets no outlet in real life.. here is where they let it all out and quite frankly, after you've seen it for years over and over, it puts your faith in mankind to the test. To put it dramatically.. I'm sure I'm sensitive to that sort of stuff, I just don't see the reason to spew hate to the extent that some people do.

Im with you 100% mate it would be better to have some nights of friendly banter:D
Plus it would make everyones online gaming more enjoyable.

It's just a pity the majority of people just don't quite grasp the feeling of enjoyment and would rather sit in thier homes either sitting themselves slagging people which is sad or showing off in front of a room full of thier friends which is even more sad.

Hopefully i will be online before christmas im in the middle of moving house so hope to see you guys online soon.( For some friendly banter and some intense matches).;)
