I've just played my first couple of online games on PES. I've avoided playing online from when I got the game because honestly I didn't expect much from it, I thought it would be buggy and just no fun to play. So anyway, I wanted to earn more points to unlock things quicker from Extra Content, so I thought well I have to give online play a go, even though I didn't want to. Was so surprised how much I am enjoying it, it's not buggy at all and each game was lovely free flowing end to end football. Can't believe I didn't try it out before, I think alot of negative comments about online play put me off. Anyway I just wanted to say how brilliant I think it is, that is all.

It is quite good indeed. I actually only play online, because i always get frustrated playing against the computer. It's pretty much lag-free. The only thing not working for mee is 2v2 friendlies. Somehow, 80% of the time I get an error saying that contact was lost between me and the other players when I join a 2v2 friendly.
A terrible mistake Konami made though, is that u get restricted if u finish a game less than 70% of the time. Unfortunatly, it also counts as an abort when u lead 5-0 and the opponent disconnectes/shoots in his own goal 3 times and when a match is cancelled for lag (even when the server is the blame..)
For the rest its great online! I would just like to see some more Dutch guys/girls

80% of the games are enjoyable in MLO and then the other 20 are ruined by the speed whore abusers with their world all-star teams give it to cr7 and let him run..coupled with the 1 in every 15 games that are laggy as crap...wierdly it always seems to happen when ihave the ball.
I do think online can be very arcadish, and compared to the speed I play offline it is very quick but I do enjoy most the games

I dont play MLO, I just play 1v1's. I agree that about 1 out of 15 matches is laggy, but thats a great improvement in compare with last year:innocent:

Seriously i ain't had any problems online yet. Managed to swerve fag teams (Barca etc) so far, Much improved lag free from last years bag o wank!

To be successful in this game all you have to do is abuse the run button.

When i played my first master league match I was stunned by the flow of the game. I mean, it was great. I was winning, losing, drawing, didnt matter to me as the game was fun. But with time and mypes thing, i developed my team and achieved 600 ranking which I consider quite high. Then, everyone had pato (now eto'o is the new trend lol) messi and cronaldo, speed merchants fckn everywhere. This is where the game gets retarded. because aiming your shoots is broken, everyone just dribble around your keeper who behaves like headless chicken. People like to win, and this is why they are playing like this. Imagine if KONAMI actually fixed shooting, removed the TEAM TYPE thing, so it wouldnt be so fuckin broken (as speed is just abuse, and anything else except balanced when you have fast players is just retarded) and removed SPEED MERCHANT hell. Its broken! I mean every high rated game is about creating 1on1 chances and then rounding the keeper. Or playing crosses and then finish it with header or low cross to make defenders look like retards. (and you abuse speed merchants to get near the corner, obv)

remove team type thing
fix shooting
make the keeper not so easy to go around.
and the game would have been so much better. I dunno wtf konami people are thinking, jesus, its like throwing money away. Theres huge thread DO NOT BUY PES 2012. Im pretty sure it would have much much less posts if my suggestions were made.
I actually stopped playing the game because I had to become speed merchant whore to keep up with the 'best' whores out there.
and I wont be buying any PES if they do not fix this shit. Game might have bugs, its okay for me, since they are to be fixed with patches.

Ive just played 2 games in the ranking mode, not the master league and the game is much much better there. I guess I will just dump master league as it sucks and is speed merchant whore fest;p

I noticed there was no lag at all in the few games I played, very impressed. If only they added a replay option instead of having to go back to the room.
And the Barca merchants. REally annoying when people wont pick anyone but barca. In my experience 2 out of 3 people pick barca

Yeah I think, iniesta, xavi and fabregas make barca really good not messi. Its hard but I wait to see what team they pick first. If they pick barca, just pick spain, real madrid or argentina, they are more than a match for barca.
