When i play online i like to change teams that i am to try and test myself. i Know i like to win games but does it really matter if you lose the odd game. I have posted this as i am fed up of taking on Man Utd, Barcelona, Brazil or AC Milan simply becuase they are the best, when i chose to be teams such as spurs,everton,lyon. Does anyone else have this problem or are you all glory seekers in being the best teams?

All the time, it fucks me off... I admit I used to be Inter, but I never did what most of the players online seem to do, gradually got bored of being Inter, so I started choosing some new teams, at the moment i like playing as Chelsea.... but ive disconnected about 3 times out of 6 games i had today, because i was getting pissed off with my oponent being a one trick pony... beat one player 5-4 he was man utd, got van der sar sent off, so i took advantage, because he kept Ferdinand in goal for the rest of the game!

Thats the way PES online is im afraid. People are so desperate to win so they pick the better teams, makes me laugh how serious some people take the game online.

Think i've only used Barcelona or Inter once or twice online. The only teams i really use online are PSV, Lyon, Porto, Dynamo Kiev and Spurs.

I don't enjoy playing against Inter being Everton and the like though, just frustrates me when even with a team like Inter they still have to resort to them fucking cut-backs and giving it to Adriano at every opportunity.

I don't mind though, I only really play friendly matches nowadays - usually against people on here. Your best bet is to do the same.

winds me up when you get people with room names like newcastle for life and then you look at there profile and they use barca every game

also when i create a room saying no barca,inter,brazil please and then someone comes along check there profile and they use chelsea most of the time and then on the squad selection screen pick barca wtf

everyone online wants to win its stupid, its a game it doesnt matter if u lose its meant to be a laugh

I dont play ranked games for 3 reasons

1) People are so boring on ranked games and so worried about their ranking that they play dull football and go the same teams

2) the lag seems to be worse an its annoying losing a game because of the lag

3) my internet connection has died once or twice when i have been dominating causing me to lose!

I go a random team every time, played as USA before against Brazil (lost 4-3) all brazil's goals pass across the goal

Most games now i win, boring or not as its easy to work out what there doin an cut it out before they do it!

Would you guys consider me picking Valencia as cheap? I've been a huge fan of theirs for a long time now and I know their good, but I still pick them.

When I've played online (not at mine, at a mate's) I believe I chose... erm... Athletico, possibly? It was a while ago. I quit when the dick I was played paused and unpaused it when I was about to get a tap in - causing him to get the headstart and clear it. I also remember winning 1-0 with Liverpool with a 30 yard Kuyt goal.

Anyway, I don't understand people complaining about opponents playing boring football. Unless you are a Arsene Wenger style purist, who like every goal to be contructed with the delicacy of making a ship in a bottle, then I don't see any goal can be seen as worse or better than another. Granted, it's annoying if your opponent scores lots of goals by passing around your keeper, but you're frankly an idiot if you choose not to do that (if there's a sufficient opportunity) because it won't be a good enough goal. When PES Street comes out and you win via trick points and "bangin" goals, then I'll concur.

Played recently and the majority of players selected Liverpool and tryed to do the same with Fernando Torres.

Finally, it's good to hear from people with the same opinions.. I like to play football on pro evo and play against random teams. It so annoys me when the opponent hovers around an average team and i'm like thats good, so i'll chose one as well, kiev, palermo, etc.. and then they go straight to barca or inter, etc...

Anyone fancy a game of decent pro evo? What's your network name? i'll add ya and arrange it!??

Yeah I noticed that, i've played Newcastle once liverpool a couple of times, one guy i've played against a few times choses some french team but everyone else has Barcelona, Inter, manchestr united or brazil. Some guys/gals have chosen barcelona at the blink of an eye. If i chose barcelona they chose Brazil. I guess some people just need an advantage. I've played against some guy/gal who chose brazil(at the blink of an eye) as some rubbish club side, I lost 3-0, the guy/gal probably went away happy in the knowledge his rank went up. Maybe pes2009 should just contain the main teams 99% of the people chose. I don't mind playing as crap sides against the best, it improves my gameplay.

I havent played online pes2008 for about a week, and to be honest im not bothered, i cant be bothered to play players who play the same way in each game i play... also i get abuse on the chat occasionally
