Outfield players have too many positions!?

Just thought i'd pass on something that (for me) has improved my gaming experience. I expect some of you to disagree but like i say, it's my preference only...

I have reduced the amount of players' playing positions by at least half.
Since doing this, the more harder players to acquire in ML are now willing to talk to me when bidding for a player.

Example: Busquets' playing positions are RB, LB, CB, DMF, MF, AMF (& RMF?). So, as we all know Busquets is a DMF for Barca, so when in ML, Barca acquire another DMF, Busquetts will merely switch to another position within the team line-up and will be equally hard to attract him to your team.

So, now Busquets (being a DMF only) can drop into a CB role if needed but with a rating of 72(ish) rather than 90 which is better than his actual playing position. And he becomes availible for transfer (as long as your team is high enough ranked)

Rooney's the same. 90 SS, or 94 RMF. Since when does Rooney ever play on the right of midfield, let alone being better at it than his natural SS position.

Good to see you aroud here mate. As for your idea it isn't that bad, but honestly, I won't be losing my sleep over that issue. And won't be spending time searching for such players either. If I see one that bugs me most I'll change it, but only when it is really, really stupid.

I myself have recently started changing some players but i am holding off until Thursdays update. A lot of outfield players have positions that they NEVER play. I think it was Emre Can who was listed as a LWF...

Yeah, as per the other reply in this topic... Players with too many positions i feel lose their identity. Like you say, not a big problem at all, just my preference.
I tell you what though, Bale's positions are the now the same as C.Ronaldo (LWF, RWF & SS), and when playing in the ML with a top team, both are availible to buy. Same with Ibrahimovic & Cavani, they're now both CF only, so their rivalry for that CF position means their both availible. (HUGE money tho!)

This is exactly why i have adjusted a lot of the main players' playing positions. Now players like Rooney can be played on the right of midfield but it's no longer a natural position for him. So his rating is now 78ish for playing on the left or right midfield.

Xavi & iniesta have been adjusted as they each have 9 playing positions! Ridiculous! For me, they're niw CMF & AMF

I've been ADDING positions to players because it's utterly ridiculous that Januzaj is a 77 player, but goes down to 69 on the RW because he's supposedly a RMF.
