patching over patched version?

I burned cue file onto cdr then tried it on the ps2, great it works, but i see that half of it is patched, bollox. Is it posisble to patch over a patched version of WE8? or does it have to be the original? I tried patching over a patched ISO, burnt it and all, but when the playstation tries to load it, it hangs after the ps2 logo, can anyone help? thanks!

You must ALWAYS burn a patch to a clean image.

Yes, otherwise it won't work.
The exception to this rule are certain small translation patches, eg you could apply a small patch which made a WE6:FE Italian Wendetta patch into English - but otherwise always patch a clean image.

I have WE8 with most of the game in English except players names and the in-game menus for tranfers etc....if i patch the already patched WE8 with the small translation by Fernando, will it work Zygalski?

I doubt it. Just use your clean image for the other patch.
The Ole patch has most of the game in English plus every player in English. I haven't seen jb's new patch but I guess that would be mostly english too.

but the problem is that i dont have the clean image anymore thats y i am asking if i patch just a small part of the game if it will work

Sounds like you already tried it and it didn't work.

Should have kept a clean image. Just get it using your original DVD again. And keep a clean copy next time
